I heal LFR on my monk for the aug stone bags/transmogs.
I participated equally if not more. I have the same right to loot as you do.

This is absolutely a true statement…
But this is where you lose the plot. The ability to sell or disenchant items you get from raid is not related to whether you got them via PL or won a roll via GL. If you want to make an emotional argument that it feels differently, that’s highly subjective and I won’t try to claim anything different. But the end result is the same, that an item that player A could wear was obtained and attempted to be sold by player B. And potentially worse, PL has an increased frequency of it occurring when compared to GL.
People 480+ would still be rolling and getting that gear with PL.
A group of random strangers in queued content never cared, because that ilevel is easily replaced.
You can go out into open world content and get the same LFR ilevel.
Transmog is forever. Progression is one season. And you have alternate ways to get that ilevel.
No need to call me out like that. Although even with the lower ilevel (PvE) gear, my alt monk still pumps out heals.
You think they’d care if you gave them PL instead? I’m sure they’d actually be happier that you begged blizz to make it easier for them to gobble up the stuff you need.
It makes perfect sense.
Raiding uses group loot. LFR is raiding.
This doesn’t change with PL.
And anyone that participates is able to win loot.
Tell me how player agency works in determining what number you roll in GL vs PL
Ssssh he doesn’t understand in PL everyone rolls need
If they change LFR to personal loot, guaranteed you will be one of the first to make a post with something like “Did 4 LFR wings, ZERO loot, game is bad”
This will be coupled with additional complaint of how a 487 geared player received a piece of loot but refused to trade to you, then proceeded to disenchant that piece right in your face.
No, it absolutely is not. Where do you get that idea? Transmogs should always be secondary to upgrades, and Blizzard clearly needs to configure that into loot rolls. If a player has a higher ilvl in a slot than the item up for loot, then that player should not be able to need on said item.
This is the quintessential difference of need vs greed that has been a core system of this game since Vanilla. You do not need transmogs. They are completely optional. Your gear will function perfectly fine without bearing a particular aesthetic. Needing for a transmog is, by this game’s standards, greed, and you should not shaft your fellow players over a cosmetic. Needing on lower-level gear just for cosmetic appearances does not outweigh another player’s need to obtain higher-level gear, and Blizzard can absolutely address that issue separately.
Incorrect.
Both are equal.
That transmog to someone else is just as important as your upgrade. You don’t get priority because you’re undergeared.
so many PL trolls coming out of the wood works… they don’t understand the loot systems at all and they keep running their mouths about PL…
also its LFR gear… if you use it as your main source of gearing you got issues… Normal is so easy to pug/complete and you can do M+11’s with just as much easy as LFR and get better gear and from vault…
BoP gear in vanilla had two purposes: worn or a proxy for money. Transmog and trading gear were not valid uses as they are today. Trying to drop the binary loot social standards onto the environment with four options doesn’t really work…
And higher geared players aren’t asking for priority, just the same opportunity. It’s actually the lower geared players who want to claim they should have priority…
If you are 430 just blow through a couple +2s. You get the same ilvl gear and can also convert pieces to tier
Wrong. 480+ people cannot roll on those items. The dice clearly says, “You already have a more powerful version of this item”
Only if the item is the same name as what they already have.
Say they have a mythic signet brand. Heroic signet and heroic ashes drop. They can’t need on heroic signet but they can roll on ashes.
Personal loot was the best solution to loot ninjas.
Still got a kick out of whoever that Blizzard rep was who said “There is no such thing as loot ninja. If you roll and you win, it’s yours”, trying to rationalize people rolling on things they don’t need over someone who would clearly benefit from it. It came across as “We can’t figure out a solution, so we’re just going to pretend its ok to do”.
transmog-benefit
gold-benefit
telling someone they have 0% loot chance despite them helping in the raid-loot ninja
I never have, nor will consider transmog a benefit or a necessity. You wanting to look cool should never trump someone’s actual progression.
They got rid of ML because of so many disputes caused by absolution. GL (and PL) are based on chance, so the only side asking for A to trump B is yours.
