Rets booty. Change my mind

Wait… Feral is bad? Arms is bad?? Enhancement sure, you rarely see them because the damage they do doesn’t really outweigh the fact that they get globaled (no defensive hours)… But Arms Warrior? Arms is insane… Feral is good in the right hands too, very good. I 100-0 people at the start of an Arena with BoTE + Drest Trinket + Bite. Granted the only thing I bring to the table is damoog but Feral is not bad at all…

So are we nerfing Ret or what? I’m disgusted at these people trying to defend this spec while they’re literally out here killing people with ranged stuns and if you try to stop them they just use an immunity while bashing your brains in.

Just run away 4head :wheelchair:

Out of all the pressing matters in this game I think we can all agree #1 is getting this monstrosity of a spec named “Ret” nerfed into the ground. It’s like because they have such poor mobility their leg muscles atrophied and their brain sent all of the protein to their upper body so they can swing those big TV’s down on your head with the force of a silverback gorilla.

Yeah I agree, rets were never tier 1 like wars or rogues, but they were so much fun to play in almost every season of MoP. I personally loved WPvP as a ret back then because you could play around with your talents and try different builds with glyphs knowing that you could either play very offensive or play semi defensive since our heals were one of the nicest hybrid heals that expac.

10yards range and you call hoj a ranged stun. lol.

Beside, whats the point of stunning 10yards away while slowed or rooted, we already need to be close to you to be sure we can do the damage during hoj.

Wings dismounts you, so he wasted Steed (45 sec cooldown) to connect to you and didn’t even connect. You LoS’d 15 seconds but didn’t bother to restealth? Also what are you using your cat sprint ability on? With sprint up you can perma run around the pillar with zero way for a Ret to catch you without Steed, and during that time you can also restealth and run away.

Bear form > tree form. Hit Frenzied regen with guardian affinity and you live with pre-hots.

Also confusing because you said your dps was trying to race down a healer but it sounds like your talking about 2v2s? If the dps wasn’t on the Ret then he sure as heck wasn’t killing a healer :yum:

Rogue had bleeds on me and I put hots on my dps (since they were vibin with the rogue and healer in mid) which kept me in combat. Why would I try to restealth when I’ve got bleeds on me, which obviously break stealth via damage.

I mean I typically save it to power shift slows if I can, since it’s off-gcd and auto puts you in cat. So if you shift out of cat and hit sprint at the same time it’ll break your root instantly - similar to old power shifting.

I can just use travel form (as already stated) which moves infinitely faster than a ret can.

Thanks for the advice on how to play Resto? Bear and Tree both offer armor, and tree gives instant casts. Neither protect against Holy damage, which is basically all the damage he does, so I opted for the instant casts which would have been much more viable at keeping me alive that frenzied regen - especially since I was running Feral Affinity, like I do on literally every single 3’s match unless it’s DH/DK/Arms comps.

I dunno just seems weird you would die to a Ret solo in 1 stun, when you said his wings had already fallen off and the rogue isnt on you. Bear affinity isnt just for the armor, its also for the damage reduction so you dont die in 1 stun :man_shrugging:

Dont think you really need travel form speed against 2 melee dps in 2s. Rotating thorns, vortex, bash, and leap should be enough as long as your partner isnt a goober.

Wait ret was bad in legion? When? The only time ret was probably really bad in legions was around season 4 or 5, but for the most part it was pretty good.

I’m no resto player but I’m pretty familiar with druids and uh, you can insta clear every single poison with one button. >.>…

Saving dash for meaningful situations is far better than using it simply to “powershift” a slow. You can get out of a slow and move quickly alternating cat and travel. Dash should only be used when the speed is necessary e.g to counter rogue’s sprint, or steed, etc.

Instant casts don’t mean anything when you’re stunned and bear isn’t ideal simply for the armor, it gives more life. Even with feral affinity, bear is the better choice if you know you’re going to sit a stun. Though against ret/rogue guardian seems like a far better/safer choice.

I mean don’t get me wrong, ret is crazy strong and I’ve died in hoj’s before too. But it sounds like it was a combination of ret’s damage couple with some questionable choices.

Resto druids complaning about ret, srsly I don’t want to sound like a jerk but this is a git gud situation.

The spec is isn’t bad at all, it’s just mediocre and completely crap to play, most people (like90%) who say “lulret 1shot wings” make a ret and end up playing holy after being stuck at 1.7 for months.

Because it’s not like destro/rogue/mage/dh are ruining it for everyone else, you have to complain about the 1 spec you should have the easiest time dealing with, srsly go yuck fourself.

Bad to play. I don’t really know how good or bad Ret preformed in Legion, because it was so God awfully boring to play, that I barely PvP’d.

But we’ll just say it was okay.

i can sense the SEETHE in this post rofl BOOSTED player acts like he could of gotten r1 in legion lmaooooooooo :joy: :joy: :joy:
