So i started playing this expansion for the first time a week ago. (I was trying to wait till the semester died down.)
And all while questing, paladins. Paladins everywhere. Enough so that even without following patch notes (bc I was immersed in the story), I knew something must’ve happened haha.

The new class pop charts are insane. They are over double the population of Beast Mastery Hunter and almost triple Destruction Warlocks. This shows how popular they really got from being OP and FOTM due to the poorly designed Paladin rework lol.
Because 18 years of rogue, warlock and mage on top just wasn’t enough.
Sad, so sad.

Arcane Mage is actually at the bottom for All Percentiles and 2nd to bottom for 95th percentile in Mythic+

Have you considered that aside from being overly strong, The New ret plays really well? Like it’s super smooth and it’s also got a lot of flashy cool abilities to go with it?
Even if it was third or fourth on this chart it would still be wildly popular because of that.
