there is always a meta… there are always flavor of the month classes…

the meta classes always changes. the only thing that doesn’t change is that there will always be a new, different class/spec as meta.

so ret paladin is meta now? ok… destruction lock was meta in season 3 of shadowlands.

Because I am posting evidence on the contrary when these new FOTM Paladins keep stating that their class receiving nerfs isn’t justified. This shows Blizzard all the data that they need on why they need further nerfs. Protection Paladins replacing healers and Retribution Paladins being 6x time more popular and the top of DPS meters.

the paladin loses dmg to increase their healing done… that’s a perfectly fine tradeoff.

is the prot paladin doing some healing? sure.

but the prot paladin is doing almost no dmg because he had to completely spec into all the increased healing talents.

So, it seems like a fine trade off = prot paladin loses alot of dmg to keep group alive with heals, then you get to bring a fourth dps instead of a healer.

i genuinely see nothing wrong with this example you linked in your OP… seems completely fine to me.

its fine, just re-roll to a dps class like ret paladin!
