I like Red Bull!

Rogue still offers a funner solo experience than every other class I’ve played (which is all of them).

However, I would love for Pick Pocket and Pick Lock to be more prominent.

My brain can no longer handle the concept of using a single target dot to gain the energy to sustain in a multi target pull.

I no longer want to play piano… I’ve gone to shammy so I can melee, be ranged and heal. I feel useful now and the shiny buttons make my ADHD happy.

It sucks having 3 available dmg specs and all 3 are too complicated. I loved rogue but I can’t make it work anymore.

I’ve landed on a pretty simple Outlaw build which doesn’t require me to stealth dip or hyper-monitor my RtB buffs. AoE is great though single target is behind, which I don’t mind for most content types I engage in.

And I miss Feint on every single other class that doesn’t have something like it. It’s easily my favorite defensive in the game because it’s always so readily available.

I played Assassination at the beginning of this expansion and absolutely loved it, but switched to Outlaw because it felt like a slog to play on longer fights (particularly single-target longer fights). I’ve almost never had energy problems on Outlaw.

lol I switched back to outlaw a few days ago, my Dps went down by 150k. And I’m a horrible rogue to begin with.

It be like that. Nice mog, though!

Sub isnt a piano.

It’s a xylophone?

Can confirm all three specs on retail are still pianos.

SL going into DF we had a combo point UI bug among some other bugs that werecaught in Prepatch PTR, they made to Prepatch live then into DF and about half way through the first season before ever getting fixed, towards the end of DF we had about 5-7 bugs pop up in live and in PTR and have only recently been fixed.

I can deal with low DPS or a slightly clunky rotation or Outlaws mandatory white horse addiction to play, but the constant bugs that take months upon months to get fixed or ignored, even though you have people on multiple platforms yelling about the bugs and giving clear examples and in some cases fixes, made me jaded about rogue. I just don’t care anymore. I moved on to one of the many other classes that actually get looked at by Blizzard.

On Mythic Sikran last night, I was 115 APM, and the assassination Rogue was 47. :joy:

No. It just has an actual rotation. The real difficulty for the spec is all mental. Having to properly time your cds and determining which finisher to use depending on the situation.

I love rogue. But the finishers barely hit harder than the normal attacks. The energy needs to be conserved even when you’re playing it right, no other class needs to bother with that! The cooldowns all need to be paired with a dozen other moves.

I feel like a computer that no longer has the processing power to handle that software.

I have always been a terrible rogue. But some days I feel like back in Burning Crusade I rolled 100 vs a hidden GM’s 99 on a mount and they cursed my account.

False for Sub. Its mastery is literally a boost to finisher damager. Sub doesnt need to conserve energy, its the opposite in that you wanna make sure you arent energy capped before using Symbols. Between its cds youre often waiting multiple seconds before you can use another ability. During cds (which can all be macroed together) youre just following a normal damage sequence. If you just dont wanna play the spec then say that, but it literally is what youre looking for based on what you dont like.

I haven’t played sub since Legion. I will give it a good look for you.

But with rogue I have bottom of the meters for the last 4 expansions. I think I need a change regardless.

Also as soon as I start getting ok at it Blizzard flips the script and changes everything. I have been burned many times.

Youre not wrong here. I started playing in Legion, only picked up Sub in SL though. In the time ive played it, this xpac feels best.

Losing Combat was a huge blow, cause i just dont like Outlaw.

And the utterly idiotic change to Thistle Tea to be semi-auto is really pushing my patience.

For starters that thing shouldnt even exist, let Rogues energy work on its own without an END TALENT.

Legion eh? You are young Rogues.

Back in my day as an old man we had to hold combo points and dump into SND to target switch or use redirect to move combo points.

Nothing about rogue broke my spirit. I’m a retired rogue because I’m no longer an edgy teenager wanting to play the solo assassin archetype like I was back in 2004 and I genuinely enjoy support and healing style classes more now. I can’t really main non healing classes anymore. Rogue will always be my first main and have a special place in my heart but I don’t think I can ever go back.
