@retail players asking for change

Go to the top of the classic page.

In the search box, type fix.

You gotta look tho

Yeah retail is never going to die they won’t allow it to happen…their pride is too high for them to swallow it. Blizzard would literally choke on their pride if they had to swallow it.

They did state however that as long as retail still exists Classic would too. I took that to mean that once retail dies if it ever happened, Classic would also. So as much as I can’t stand the mindset of people who play retail in demanding retail features to be added to Classic, their existence is a necessary evil in order to keep Classic afloat.

Without people to play retail and buy expansions and spend money in the cash shop, Classic won’t stick around for very long otherwise

Yea, what a sad state Blizzard is. Hinging Classic on Retails success is arbitrarily making it a no-win for anyone wanting Classic’s success.

If Classic succeeds and the demand for Classic+ exceeds Retail, then that means the need for them to develop new content for Retail ends, because what’s the point, and ends Classic as well.

Like you said, it’s their pride. If it came to ending Retail to focus on Classic+ and admitting people don’t like Retail, then it all comes to an end.

Sad indeed.

I was honestly disappointed when I seen the class trees. Then again i always thought Moonkin was a mistake.

If you ever played during the vanilla days you would remember that most balance druids were referred to as Oomkins. They were always out of mana 3 minutes into any fight lol

Only change i genuinely ever want in Classic is barbershop.

Unless you can point me to a classic addon that changes my character’s hair style, hair color, skin color, and face.

The calls for innervates being ignored since they were saved for healers was funny.

I don’t think an add-on like that exists sadly, but I remember something about Blizzard stating that account paid features may be getting added to Classic later. Things like name/race/faction change etc. Possibly even server transfers as well idk for sure. Might want to look that up in the forum search

…Of coarse, invent a problem, sell a solution… well good to know this isn’t new to them…

The healthcare industry is doing the same thing… pushing for mandatory vaccines that make people sick and give them cancer…and then making big bucks on chemotherapy and radiation treatments. They’ve been doing it since the 1980s when the government removed all liability from them (The FDA) for vaccine injuries and deaths.

This.

It’s the classic people who thought they did but didn’t.

No that would be the Classic+ people.

I’m perfectly content with Classic just the way it is and I don’t need any aspect of it to change whatsoever

Well that was a field coming out to the left, but thanks for the random fact about the healthcare industry back in the 1980’s? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I guess i should give Blizzard slack there since… Vanilla was their first foray into MMO’s, but if the appearance change did come first before the barbershop, why i must ask they go straight to monetizing the one thing that is commonplace in RPG’s or games that allow you to create custom characters? (remember, the game came out in late 2004, and we have games like The Sims 2, about 4 Tony hawk games that allows you to create your own skater (from Pro skater 2 to Underground 2), The Elder scrolls Morrowind and Oblivion by 2006, GTA SA even to some extent…)

I mean to each his own. My father always used nails. Still got the point across that kindness will be received better than anger and belittling.

I see why people would feel the way they do. They have had year’s now of modern wow’s conveniences and are now spoiled by them.
As I have said before I agree that classic should remain what as it is currently. That way those that never played vanilla can see the difference between the two. I just seen this thread as a good opportunity for debate, first to address this notion that it’s BFA player’s VS Classic player’s which I think ridiculous and two to have an open opportunity for both side to be discussed.

It’s really no different than the allied races though. It’s the same original models with different-colored skins. Palette swaps that take a whole hell of a lot of work just to get access to. The only reason that they are in the game is because people asked for more options in customizing their characters in the barbershop. While blizzard was coming up with the concept and artwork for the new customization options, they decided that they could turn it into a full-blown playable race and use it to add content to the game.

Hauh?.. now were talking about Allied races?.. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Yes and those people are correct, they don’t want allied races, they want more customization. While it’s need to have the option to play as a different race that is… a sub race of another race, it just takes away from the base race in terms of customization. Some of the hairstyles on a void elf, i would love to have on my blood elf, without the tentacles of coarse, but…nope.

Do you not see the correlation here? What I’m talking about is the same thing that you mentioned about monetizing things. Rather than just putting them in the barbershop as they were intended they chose to capitalize on it as a way to give players more work to do and keep them busy with rep grinds. It’s all about the bottom dollar with them.

Ahh, gotcha.
The suddenly switch to the allied races just threw me off.

Yeah, think Balance and resto were fine without forms, didn’t need forms for everything. I really thought Druids and Shamans would have been more Spiritual but was kinda let down by that.

Tree form for resto didn’t come about until BC, but yes I agree. Bear, cat, travel form, and aqua form were all that was needed IMO. The tree form was so ugly too :joy:
