It is hard to believe because there isn’t much indicating that TBCC is exactly crushing it from a numbers standpoint either. It might be stronger than Retail (and even that is a debatable statement), but OP is suggesting that there is some massive surge of TBCC interest coming which seems unlikely.

Retail has been trash for way to long and shadowlands being worse than BFA is saying A LOT.
Google Trends showed classic and TBC had far more hype than SL even before SL came out

Because classic has about 1/8th the subs as retail.

TBC is already losing subscribers. Retailers are certainly not coming here. They may go to Ff14, but they are not coming to classic.

Yea I don’t think many who just quit retail will waste their time now getting caught up… Most didn’t even want to relive what they considered their favorite expansion as they felt it would or could ruin what they considered to be cherished memories…
