There isn’t any reason to be alliance in TBC, especially for PvE. Racials like berserking are insane.
And mercenary mode would make this problem even worse

There are like five of you that this describes dude. Seriously, you keep making these big long wordy posts and at the end of the day, you zerged the baby mode pvp faction with the rest of the brainlets and will be sitting in your slightly longer than normal queue til you and the other tourists leave.
Nobody here gives a flying squirrel about your private server experience, with 3% of the population that WoW has.
TBCC is NOT a copy of Nostalrius. Get over it.

Because there was 1 server, not dozens. There was no where for the other faction to go if they didn’t like it.

Anyone who paid attention in Classic – in the game and on these forums – KNEW Horde queue times were going to go through the roof in TBC Classic.
If you didn’t pay attention, that’s on you.
Unless you want Blizzard to go completely draconian and force people to play only a particular faction on particular servers, your choices are wait in the queues or reroll Alliance.
You pays your money and you takes your chances.
