Why is the class with an 8 second immunity that never seems to be on CD able to global any player in the same duration. Since it only slows their attack speed it’s way too overpowered now that they have active abilities that can kill you in it (Divine Storm, Crusader Strike, and Exorcism). They are also unkiteable live gods with Freedom and Bubble sticking to you like glue, it honestly feels more like an exploit with no counterplay than an actual fight. They shouldn’t be able to do any damage in Divine Shield and we need a nerf to at least Divine Storm, it’s hitting way too hard for an AoE and the tempo change by giving them back healing done is way too oppressive in PvP. For some reason Ret as a community feels entitled to have a one shot in plate gear and the strongest survivability CDs in the game, and I don’t really care for their logic in general when their defense for having this is more along the lines of “I hate horde player that’s why I should be able to” or just flat out rejecting any possibility they are ever too strong in their 20 year reign. You literally see them posting propaganda and use real political techniques to defend their broken class. The last time I joined a Pally discord there was a channel organizing future forum posts, commanding bumps and likes, and 100+ people coordinating forum propaganda just for their class; it was the weirdest thing and completely ruined their credibility for me. Esp when I know most of them post on Horde alts they made just for the forums as if that makes their opinions look unbiased instead of the cringe and manipulative.
Ret is not fun to play against, they need to be toned down they weren’t balanced around ANY active abilities and now they have a whole rotation than they throw out in their immunity to PvE anyone 100-0 and come up with postmortem excuses as to why that’s balanced and deserved.
I think there’s a 90% chance Rets just coordinated “BUT SHAMANS” to move the needle off them and then bandwagon forum goers just go along with the current QQ meta that benefits them. As Alliance is the dominate faction on every realm, it makes sense how they could carelessly agree in unison to nerf shamans while laughing at the idea Ret is the one that needs to be seriously looked at. Alliance never have to face them in the open world or BGs. But every single Horde players knows exactly how annoying and over tuned they are.
The fact that paladins have bubble will ALWAYS be the reason the class earns stigma from the PvP community. Infact you add a 10 second invulnerability window to ANY class and they will be OP.
There are people who complain about the ability being overpowered but these same people refuse to acknowledge the downsides of playing a paladin.

From my experience playing a paladin in SoDand take it with a grain of salt because I don’t consider myself the best PvP player ever nor the most knowledgable, there are some encounters that I simply will NOT win if I don’t have my bubble.
Most ranged classes will start laying down damage on me long before I even have the opportunity to reach them, depending on the skill of the player this means that I could be at anywhere from 80% to 40% health by the time I actually reach them and can start engaging.
Now, as a paladin I do have access to a great CC ability and can likely stun my target and lay down some damage in that regard, but that is also my ONLY CC that I can use, that doesn’t immediately get removed from damage. So if the enemy decides to trinket, or in the case of a mage blink, then I’m kind of out of luck.
Now if I DO have my bubble then I have a 10 second window where I don’t take damage or get CC’d that I can use to catch up to a ranged class and lay down some DPS.
As a by-product of having a 10 second bubble we use it when ganked by rogues/warriors/shamans/Melee-hunters to overpower them in a 1:1 melee fight.
Was it the greatest solution to fix the “wheelchair” class. No… Absolutely not… But its what blizz gave us and now everyone has to suffer as a result. You, the paladins, everyone suffers.
They ought to give paladins a rune that turns Divine Shield into a Sprint usable once every 5 minutes instead of invulnerability.

The majority of us know that double rockbiter with woe is too strong in pvp and would gladly see some tuning to it rather than our glass getting outright gutted.
Is there a way we can make an official petition against the Ret exploit class? Blizzard needs to respond to these before it continues for the rest of SoD.
I’m pretty sure Divine Shield is 10 sec not 8, OP. And yeah it’s busted that they have a full rotation inside of it. Also I agree LoH needs to apply forbearance if PvP is supposed to be taken semi seriously.
