Because they’re cemented to a wheelchair. They will require real mobility if you remove their range.
DKs would have insane range as well if the wheelchair was the reason. We all know the real reason, and it’s called training wheels. I’m surprised they haven’t introduced a button to do ret’s entire rotation for it.

To be fair I’ve not seen a single class able to get away from blood dk. There’s a reason people use blood dks in rbgs, it effectively removes from the game 1 opponent of your choice with the only inconvenient that you also “lose” a spot for another player since both the blood dk and the opponent will be in the corner of a map for the entire bg.
I’ll grant you that one. BDKs can abduct people. I guess they gotta have something since they’re completely incapable of dealing damage outside of that one San’layn bug acting up.

Point is DKs have abilities to instantly close the gap, ret does not. Divine steed doesn’t fit that role, it’s not an instant gap closer, you can be snared during it, and freedom is purgeable. If they were given access to a charge or grip they wouldn’t need the range they have. I didn’t say I liked it but it’s required with the current kit available.

ret has range cause it cant grapple or shadowstep. also if any ret stays in range for more than a second then theyre bad cause theyre missing alot of pwoer from csaa and boj procs

Just remove the 20s forbearance. They can Bubble while forbearance so thats way Ret can que with Holy pally. But 20s Forbearance is toxic.
Exactly. Forbearance is a relic from 20 years ago and no other class has these insane restrictions placed on them. Forb should be gone so hpal/ret isnt autoloss.

Nothing in the game is difficult to play, but we can make comparisons between classes. And here, the comparison is quite clear - ret paladin requires absolutely zero effort, while something like UHDK will give you carpal tunnel. FDK is probably comparable to ret in terms of complexity, but it at least requires you to deal with Breath of Sindragosa (since, y’know, Blizzard wants to ram that down our throats for yet another season).
Rogue has 2 vanish (Correct me if I am wrong) , increased running speed in stealth, Cheap Shot , Kidney Shot, restealth to reset, sap , Spring, Shadowstep x 2, Evasion and Cloak of Shadow. Rogue has way too many defensive and mobility to counter “a few” range attacks. Its too much to the point that it is quite overpowered.
