Gotta admit. Ret is the melee BM. Nothing wrong with it. It’s super good this season. Enjoy it while it last.

“No king rules forever”

:sunglasses:

You can literally kill a Paladin in 5 seconds in one stun as a rogue. What you’re really asking is for Blizzard to tailor-make Paladin’s abilities for you to 1v1 them. Stop.

With freedom it absolutely does close gaps. I get free rating on my holy paladin because of it and so does ret.

Uh no. Wrong. Blessing of protection and lay on hands would like a word with your smooth brain. Nice try though.

Freedom is not a gap closure… and if your concerned about that, team with someone that can purge…

Lay on hands has a long cd and BoP only works with physical damage, which most classes don’t use beyond auto attacks.

Both of which don’t really save us, not to mention lay of hands may be used on another person besides us.

If you need more than one lay on hands per match you have serious issues. Blessing of protection helps a lot in almost every situation even versus warlocks because of their pets and junk. Hunters phgsicao damage even. If you’re talking about fighting Mages in certain warlocks, all you have to do is run behind a pillar. Do you remember that?

Freedom is absolutely a gap closer. That’s literally what it’s for. Especially when you combine it with Divine steed. You’re just not using your brain. By the time they Purge or dispel freedom, you’ve already escaped. You’re supposed to be playing near pillars. If you’re in Battlegrounds are supposed to have people peeling for you in Freedom is very very easy to use as an escape. I do it all the time. Just because you can’t doesn’t mean I can’t. I play a Holy Paladin much better than you and I know how good it is.

Except lay of hands is not an defensive cd, but a healing one that can be used on other party members, and most of the time better used on them as they have better defensives then paladins to maintain the health restored by it. If it was designed as a defensive, then it would be designed as such and cannot be used on other players.

It’s a root and snare breaker. Not a gap closure.

Gap closures would be things like charge or shadow step.

It doesn’t matter. If you heal that person with lay on hands then they should be turning around and helping you. If you’re not communicating that’s your problem. Lay on hands is extremely good cooldown and very balanced. End of story.

It’s all of the above it’s not just a root breaker. Dispel is a root breaker. Dispell does many things besides removing just bad magic. Between dispel and freedom you have no excuse not to escape anybody

That is if you need the help, most cases it is them needing the help if you use it on them.

Generally if a paladin is in danger we turn to our sheilds/bubbles first before cadting lay on hands onto ourselves.

It dispells roots/snares and makes you immune to them for a period of time. That is literally it’s function.

Of course Shields and Bubbles are used first. That buys plenty of time to save time between forbearance afflictions and then you have lay on hands afterwards. Holy paladins are very good at surviving and keeping people alive, and in no way are underpowered.

Lay on hands is an extremely powerful and balanced spell. Very reliable.

Holy Paladins can escape ANYBODY if they have a brain. I do it all the time on mine.

No is doubting it, but it don’t make us OP.

Most healers has tools to do that if they have a brain.

Yeah duh.

Maybe don’t feed the troll.
