Blizz, allz you gotta do for ret pally love is provide us, a higher chance of proc on seal of command. Now we all love our precious seal of command… and perhaps you’re thinking, well that would affect pvp. True. But we can just increase the proc on seal of command on NPCs, and not PCs.
This fix would alleviate many issues that ret paladins would not be viable for raids.
I didn’t get an Amen from you brother… I understand that the classic andys want gnome mages to dominate the dps meters and sit there and spam frostbolt like it’s 2006.
BUT can you imagine the love paladins across these great nations would give blizzard. If they just increased proc on seal of command brother, on NPCS.
Its actually broken right now, its suppose to be 7PPM but right now its only 6PPM
6PPM is the Early vanilla value when it did 100% damage instead of 70%, but the trade off for the lesser damage was an entire extra proc making it slightly better and more enjoyable to play.
Its been broken since 1.15, and good luck getting any fixes here man.
Seal of Command and it should be 7 procs per minute but its only give us 6.
Seal of the Crusader (a different seal) has been only slightly of any use in niche situations since it was nerfed in like 1.2 or 1.1… Its been a real long time since it was truly good.
So long as you have Judgment of Wisdom on target and now that there is no debuff limit you will never oom this assumes you do bring Mana potions and Dark runes if need be.
Make a bug report but they don’t seem to do anything with those anymore.
I’m not a nochageandy, but I DO think that part of the appeal of og classic is the imbalances it came/comes with. As Avenge alluded to, SoD already “fixes” much for Ret (and others)…so I’m not quite sure why anyone would want Anniversary Classic to be modified to “fix” things like this, even though yes it would make Retlife much more enjoyable.
Either wait for BC and especially Wrath where you’re a god class, or play SoD where you’re also a god class. Or just accept that you’re still a god class in Classic, just with mediocre damage.
Youre not a god in wrath for the first half of the expansion. You can put up 99s across the board and blue parsing rogues and dks will still destroy your damage. In icc though yes ret was very good. Tbc same issue, until you get all the expertise gear especially the belt from ssc you dont really come online but once you do ret can be one of the best dps
This is the best classic paladin thread I’ve seen in a while.
A gaggle of auto attack enjoyers discussing how 7 yellow numbers per minute instead of 6 is much more fun, Cezar highlighting how it’s actually not functioning like it did in vanilla, and one telling them both to go play the version where warlocks transform into demons and tank raids just for having the audacity to suggest a yellow number pops up one second sooner.
I remember 1v3ing/1v4ing people in wintergrasp as prot before the nerfs. A single prot pally with cooldowns could usually hold a workshop by themselves. Needed vehicles to take one down sometimes.
