Ret paladin is bad

Factssss. I remember them being stronk in TBC. ret pallies will prob enjoy TBC much more than vanilla. They aren’t horrible in vanilla, but they can really shine in the future.

They’ll have their revenge (on us) in WotLK Classic when they get to run around and global everything.

Debatable, given we’d launch with the final patch and not launch patch.

lol

The problem with using 90th percentile is that Rets aren’t heavily represented numerically…as a result you have less players willing to min/max with Ret in that top 10%.

Additionally Rets for some reason have a tendency to draw a more casual player base IMO…that definitely doesn’t help.

As to Cat dps…that really only happens with JoW being up, which does take a Ret to do. JoW is a massive MP/5 boost to Pshifting…with yellows it’s over 200 MP/5.

The list seems pretty solid though except for the fact that Enh is below Cat dps…which isn’t the case if the Shaman is using haste multipliers.

If a Ret were to bring the same knowledge as others in terms of 90th percental class representation they would be in the thick of it with DPS Warriors, Ferals, Ele Shaman, and Boomkins.

Personally as a Ret on my Horde side Paladin I had no issues keeping up with the above listed classes. But again I had appropriate group support and I can be a bit of the perfectionist.

Well get in that thread and give us a list! It’ll be fun to see who was most accurate once TBC comes around.

The more detailed and thorough the list, the better your chances of being the winner!

is because naxxramas is undead

Most of it, yeah. But also because the fights are shorter and they can sustain the mana cost of utilizing their anti-undead spells.

Can you smell it in the air…

It’s the scent of fear. TBC looms and hybrid specs become viable, dead will the days of 40man raiding be and raid leaders must gut.

For soon some will be replaced for that which they loath. The chad Retadin comes.

So you hamstrung yourself to prove ret is terrible? Seems legit.

other than getting dft and cloak of concentrated hatred, im literally full bis

Tier 2 isn’t BiS, Not being hit capped isn’t BiS, Swinging a fast weapon isn’t BiS.

Your magical source damage from +spellpower, JotC, Libram, Elixir and with Tier 2 should have been over 100 DPS alone from JoC, Shadow Oil, and Dragonbreath Chili.

And your weapon is horrid. However even with that factored in how you can only do 121 more DPS from physical sources is beyond me.

You might be the worst Ret in the history of Rets…and that’s saying alot!

nice, your knowledge of the english language is impeccable

Knowledge, after a 221 DPS display, is not something you should be broaching…like ever.

what are you going to do about it? offer me more suggestions? lol

I can’t wait to hunt every single blood elf ret paladin down in the world. I will bathe in their tears.

Yes

First…don’t say your Ret when you were using Holy Shock as a DPS tool.

Secondly don’t say your Ret when you had 9 SoC procs go off…in a 2m18s fight…

Thirdly don’t say your Ret when your average melee crit was 3.1%…and your average SoC crit was 14.3% crit.

And lastly, because I’m tired of your crap…why don’t you use an actual DPS libram…and maybe actual DPS enchants on Gloves, Legs, and Helm.

As per your usual you are a disingenuous blowhard who actually taints the subject matter of whatever they touch.

I’m all for rets being a thing in TBC but I wouldn’t go that far…

The holy paladin will be replaced by himself as a ret paladin. Very terrifying for the warriors who have suddenly turned into green and purple classes.

Group 5 melee being 2 rogue/ret/enh/fury worked great for all of tbc. BM/ret/resto sh was glad viable pvp. I switched to heal on 5/10man.
