Holy pallies donāt even need to downrank heals once your mana pool gets to a certain spot and your guild clears at a certain pace.
Unbuffed I have around 5500 mana, 23% crit, and 575 bonus healing. My max rank FoL heals noncrit around 750-800. I can constantly spam max rank FoL on boss fights that last ~3 minutes. Longer if Iām willing to use consumables or have innervate.
At lower gear you just need to keybind rank 1 FoL, divine favor, and max rank Holy light. Every 2 minutes pop divine favor and throw out a free crit holy light. In raids donāt use holy shock. Itās a pvp/solo ability. Mana cost is too high, and still requires a global cooldown, so flash of lights better in a raid.

I like what i see here. OP posts honest question, community responds with sincere engagement and advice. Blue pops in and relates.
Remember this formula people. Maybe it doesnāt work every time but even if it is half the time then it would be worth it.

Im mean the solution is obvious to me, join a pvp guild. Do bgās and get your pvp set, plus youll be good in bgs

In all fairness, hes a Community Manager. Iām assuming heās allowed to participate in discussions like these at his own discretion, while giving information about other things must come down from some sort of approval process.

This actually pays dividends far beyond AV.
Bubble pulling Garr, Chromaggus, Sartura adds that chain randomly way off course, etc. I even used to bubble pull Drakkisath when our group realized we didnāt have a Hunter and our Mages were inept.
Iām actually slightly grinning and am excusing such very valid points because he quoted me /chortle.

I havenāt played a Paladin in over a decade, but wouldnāt it be worth it for him to place Judgement of Light on Bosses for the on-hit healing?
Rushed out Battlegrounds cause of an entire faction with a serious mass-loser mentality complaining about how unfair everything is. Alliance turns around and cheats and exploits in BGs cross server IN MASS.
Goes on for weeks and this is the instance Kaviaxx takes to comment onā¦ a ret pally that doesnāt want to heal?

Itās not like other healers are much more complicated. As Shaman you pretty much play like a holy paladin and if thereās a lot of melee raid damage you switch to spamming chain heal. Big whoop.
What makes a good healer is focus and target selection. And reflexes even. I donāt notice that shaman is much more complicated than holy. Just weaker.
