Like warriors get better later.
And it’s fine for warriors to suck now by this logic that they get better later.
So I assume it’s all good?

Imagine being a Paladin in wotlk and thinking your class needs buffs
Frost is still a dps spec. That’s where your argument fails. You can just swap to arcane or fire to do more damage. Ret pallies can’t just magically create a tank or healer spot out of nowhere, they’ll just get benched instead.
hah just finish the game then your class will be fine. ret is only good at prepatch
So I assume it’s all good?
It should be all good.
I don’t even understand why rets are randomly getting angry with the current state of their dps. I mean this is known, their dps is quite low now but it gets better over the phases.

If they buff more paladins, they become Game Masters…
Your point for arms/fury is entirely valid, but the Ulduar ilvl buffs actually help here. Warriors will be scaling better due to the higher ArP on gear. Even without the ilvl buff, the dps warrior woes would be much shorter lived, T9 is when they started to shine. Ret is solely reliant on the T10 2p to reach their damage potential.
Prot warriors don’t suck, tho. They’re actually quite good at what they do, which is snap threat and lots of damage. Speed running guilds are beginning to use warriors as their main tank for this reason, and it is very effective.
WCL shows there are almost as many prot paladins tanking than all other tank specs combined lol.

It’s fine for warriors I guess, and they are worse than paladins right now.
Ret is the only one always crying though.
Arms warrior main here… Yo.

This is the entire issue. It does NOT get better “over the phases”. It stay bad for all of T8 and T9. It literally only becomes good when they get the T10 2p. The spec is literally balanced around that set bonus because it is ridiculously strong.
If we got better over the phases in the same way as warriors scaling with ArP then we wouldn’t have the same issue. Warriors in particular will be the biggest beneficiaries of the Ulduar ilvl buffs, they’ll hit ArP soft cap a full tier earlier than was previously expected.
Aw, little baby Paladin can’t learn an OP spec or switch his play style and cant just face roll a single spec or be the best at every part of the game he walks into with whatever spec he wants
I’m playing the worlds smallest violin for you right now big guy
Legendary… and awesome!!
Also not every spec is supposed to be top tier. Be thankful you weren’t as bad as the rogue CLASS in TBC and have decent dps or 2 other amazing specs.

It gets a bit better with new weapons, but not enough to feel overpowered.
Just something that you have to accept.
I will say this… I’ve played with a few Rets and they are very good DPS? So this argument for a buff is hard for me to accept. I understand that the best of the best they are ranked lower but most of us normies won’t be bothered by that?
I more just find it funny that Ret (of course it’s Ret) sincerely thought they were super special and deserved a balance change despite 3 years and 3 expansions of using the final patch as the balance point.
Despite many other classes and specs not having this done in the past 3 years.

As a Rogue, I support this message
Ret wasn’t specifically nerfed in the final patch, they were nerfed hard in t9 and accumulated nerfs over the expansion, and the Band-Aid was the t10 set piece. The message is still the same but you should be clear on why it’s an issue.
Man it felt bad trying to PVE as a rogue in TBC
I mean, my whole argument is that they specifically did fix something like this for feral druids in early TBC. It’s not ridiculous to ask that they fix a final patch balancing issue for ret pallies when they did the same for another spec in TBC that had a significant difference in their gameplay because of it.
