Ret needs a fix SOON

Ret Paladins in WotLK Classic, a real conundrum. On one hand, they bring the pain with their holy hammer. On the other hand, they struggle with mana management, leaving them vulnerable in drawn out fights. Add to that the lack of cohesion in their abilities, making it difficult to find a balance between offense and defense. All in all, it’s a class that leaves us feeling punished for choosing retribution as our playstyle. #RetributionNation

Ret has plenty of options to maintain their mana. Ret is fine and was just miraculously buffed.

I appreciate your response, but I have to respectfully disagree with you. While it is true that ret paladins have options to maintain their mana, it does not address the other issues I mentioned. The lack of versatility, poor survivability, unreliable damage, poor class design, and boring playstyle are still major problems that need to be addressed.

As for the recent buff, I have seen no significant changes that have improved the ret paladin experience. In my opinion, the class still lacks any meaningful crowd control, and their abilities are still clunky and difficult to use.

I’m not playing my Ret until we get the version of Ret where you can use both offensive and defensive CDs in quick succession without having to choose between the two

I can’t remember when exactly that was but owell

I see what you mean, but I must admit I’m still a bit confused. Is this a bug that needs to be fixed, or are you simply waiting for a specific version of the class? Perhaps I’m missing something, but it would be great if you could clarify your statement a bit further.

boring playstyle? why are you even playing it then? Reroll.

I don’t like how in this version of Ret you can’t use Bop, bubble and/or wings without getting the debuff therefor locking yourself out of the potential to use your other cooldowns, in a PvP scenario it’s kinda gimping

Ah, I see what you mean now! It’s like a game of musical chairs, but instead of chairs, it’s cooldowns, and instead of music, it’s debuffs. And instead of having fun, it’s just frustrating. I understand your concern, but have you tried using those cooldowns in rapid succession, like a game of musical chairs on speed? Maybe that could add some excitement to the gameplay.

yeah sorry my bad

Yes we do often times have mana issues. Even buffed with wisdom and divine plea it’s sometimes difficult to maintain mana in long fights.

you don’t have any clue what your talking about, if your going oom with a 3.3.5 wotlk ret paladin, you have no clue what your doing, ret never goes oom, ever…has some of the best mana sustain out there

Well, I beg to differ. I’ve been playing ret paladins for a while now, and I’ve certainly experienced going oom on numerous occasions. I understand that some players might have better mana management skills than others, but I wouldn’t say that ret paladins have the best mana sustain out there.

Finally, someone understands the plight.

Also there should be more light effect, I want my enemies to know they’ve been smotted by the light

It’s great to see someone else who understands the issues with the ret paladin class. Speaking of understanding, have you ever considered the connection between light effects and spaghetti? It’s a pretty intriguing concept, if you ask me.

Think about it - the bright, radiant light emanating from a ret paladin’s abilities could be compared to the delicious, shining strands of spaghetti. And just like how spaghetti can bring joy and comfort to those who consume it, a ret paladin’s light effects could bring terror and destruction to their enemies.

It’s almost like a symphony of light and pasta, don’t you think? Food for thought!

If you are specced properly (judgements of the wise) and make full use of your cds, you shouldnt have too many mana problems.

Amen my brother of the light

Let us dust the corpses of our enemies with shavings of Parmesan cheese

I understand what you’re saying, but I have to respectfully disagree with the idea of speccing into Judgements of the Wise. In my opinion, this talent is a waste of a talent point and should be removed from the game.

The reason for this is that it’s simply not worth sacrificing other important talents for a small boost in mana efficiency. Not to mention, it can also make the playstyle even more boring and repetitive, as you’re relying heavily on one ability for mana generation.

Ret has no versatility??? What.
