Done with Ret. Can’t do it anymore. Plying this spec into casters is going to give me a stroke. Going full time Prot. If you need to remove me from your friends list I understand. For parity I just hope you remove every Destro, Fire Mage, DH, and Assassination Rogue as well.

I feel the pain my dude. Very unfun that as a ret you’re unironically more excited to fight rmx than like any destro comp. Not a fun meta at all anymore, I myself came close to calling it quits on ret this season too.
If they would just give Ret access to Blessing of Spell Warding and Steed of Glory and/or Shield of Virtue (4 second silence) it would be fine. You don’t actually need to carry a shield to use a magical shield ability. Just need 1 or 2 anti-caster tools. SL looks to be the exact same as well. Very frustrating.
i always thought since ret has no gap closer they should make execution sentence baseline and make it where the ret gets a speed boost where they cant be slowed/rooted for 5 seconds and the target cant blink/heroic leap/roll/etc. keep mobility creep down but unwheelchair ret a little
Tbh it’s not even the wheelchair aspect that bothers me. It’s the extreme susceptibility to CC and no tools to disrupt casters. Most melee have tools to avoid cc or disrupt a caster/avoid spell damage aside from a melee kick. Would even be ok if we just stomped melee in return but even that’s not the case.
This isn’t a pity party though. This is a celebration of my new identity as a Tank. I’m looking forward to what the future holds.
i mean every ret with any mild amount of gear does near unhealable burst. more sustained dmg and less burst would help them a ton. also prob shouldnt be able to dispel/steal freedom
You know there is a pvp talent that makes freedom un-dispellable and work on 2 targets at once?

Oh we in a 1v1 situation, well I am going to hide in stealth for all cds (which ours are shorter) and slowly whittle you down while I take advantage of the wheel chair and hide behind los.
have you tried lining the stealth ?

If you are upset about Ret, imagine how all the enhance shamans feel right now they are even worse.
Probably an unpopular opinion but every time enchance is meta they just run down our healer or one of our dps with unhealable damage alongside their warrior buddy. It is pure cancer but honestly I would rather fight s1 turbo again then play this awful meta.
