Ret aura removal

Is there any spec exclusive performance buff left in the game?

It seems they just don’t want those in the game anymore.

I mean… the issue with this is that it makes that spec “essential” which becomes a problem.

Yes I am fully aware of the irony of an Augvoker saying this.

Is not ironic, the whole point of augment is to buff others, is not the same as winfury totem or Rey aura.

They want the game seems to have a lot of specs/options but actually they are all the same under the class skin, so their job is easier, aka lazy

Paladins need removed anyway. Good start blizz.

Well it’s not as apparent but aug are still way ahead of dev/preservation in term of group play. And for raids not having 2 of them is still making your dps suffer, while for sure unlike buffs you still need to play the class well for it to matter.

Aug needs to be tuned down like veng dh got tuned down.

Aug is weird, Blizzard wants to make it so having 2 on the same raid is not bad, but that makes it so devastation needs to be a third evoker or it just won’t see play.

They been strong for the past couple of season, they are still not brought over a second augmentation in most cases.

My ideal fantasy for Paladin is always going to be Diablo 2 and powerful auras.

Might
Defiance
Thorns
Prayer
Salvation

Having a Paladin in Warcraft run just one generic aura that you barely notice and never think about feels so bad.

Just change auras to “you can only benefit from one Paladin aura at a time” and make them stronger medium duration active abilities with cool downs and exhaustion effects to prevent chaining them.

The 2nd paladin still means more bubbles, battle res, cleanses, LoH’s.

Does it maybe get annoying to be in a multi paladin group where the tank and the DPS have different priorities? Sure. But it’s a social MMO figure out who is driving.

Because that works so well for ele/enh shaman and the three hunter specs when they don’t happen to win the dps tuning lottery for a specific tier.

Doesn’t ret aura just give you wings for like 5 seconds after someone dies?

Hardly seems like the biggest loss… Why are so many people dying in your raids/dungeons?

The Paladin class fantasy in the wow universe started with Warcraft paladins and their aura underneath their feet, these new untalented devs are ruining it, chipping it away little by little, this game is getting more and more tasteless transmog shop underneath a wow skin, get out of here.

Crusader became a talent rather than learned by leveling? That’s not a bad idea…hopefully I can avoid it. Rarely use it and still finding a paladin tank i ran into to be a truly foolish guy when he used nothing but crusader aura and kept asking why he was dying when he ran off on his own away from healer. If anything making it a talent may discourage newbs from taking it as they clearly don’t read their spells lol

On DF right now, every ret pally has Crusader Aura because it gets packaged with Retribution Aura in the same talent point. So that’s probably why it felt like it was just default.

I highly doubt ret mains will do that since I know quite a few high high io rets. Geared to the teeth there is no way they use incorrect auras it is Paladin 101. Without our flavors we are just warriors who do less damage and have to collect beads to do anything…. This is assassination of retribution once again, no flavor pointless wheelchair

Retribution Paladin isn’t shaping up well for TWW. Not sure if it’ll be bad enough to break my habit of playing this video game but we’ll see.

  • “Buffing” Templar Strike

It’s a lot of not very encouraging changes.

Taking away the fun so some of us can quit this game, it is a good thing, there are better games or real life to enjoy, they are helping us to get out of here, very good indeed, I mean it.

I feel that. The Ret redesign had been so successful. I really can’t fathom why they decided to mess with it.

They make the game to profit, but if this is their decision, it is painless for some of us to leave, take a look at the paladin/templar/knights in Elden Ring, their armor, the power of their abilities, and take a look at the generic whatever this is in wow, lawl, good luck. You know the feeling when you don’t love someone anymore, how easy it is to leave? you got it

No, the aura makes it so the party/raid gets like 5% increased damage/healing done when someone gets walloped in fights.

Man, Grieftorch and Ret Aura made fights so much fun. So satisfying to know that when your party members die, you get more powerful.
