Remember when he exploded on the Broken Shore? They could put together a questline where everybody has to collect 50 “Fragments of Varian” weekly for a month, then reforge him into Fel Varian, then cleanse him back to himself.
What if Red Alliance timeline Varian Wrynn got stuck behind and became king? The Alliance Horde war could have actual nuance if we got an equally bad and longer lasting Warchief.
The again, Alliance still sort of just obliterates Horde in that case? It’s sort of a case of lawful stupid needing to allow the threat to exist.
