5 man queue , solo queue , 40 man queue…
you will run into the same exact problems of comp and people wimping out and afking cause “they have more healers! pack it in boys!”.
unless they make a solo queue + forced role selection + being able to report people for not doing their role + a number of other things to even get “fair” competition for you guys and youll still afk out when you lose the initial scrum against those 3 ret pallies on the front lines divine storming their way to heal from 1/4th of their life to full AND THEN HAVING THE HEALERS HEAL THEM IF THEY TAKE SO MUCH AS A SCRATCH…

all the same problems will exist just with different excuses from the “solo queue please” crowd or the “make premades only up to 5 man” crowd.
face it. if you have half a spine you would fight most of these “premades” and win very easily cause they are pug trash and will afk if you put up a fight and cap the first flag.

So I join a BG and it’s a premade so I leave. 15 min deserter. I join another BG in hopes that it’s a “Regular” BG and again Premade so I leave. 15 min deserter. Etc… etc…
I’d rather just wait 45 mins or an Hour and get an actual Regular BG that we can enjoy and compete in. Maybe that WSG is great and it’s a good 35 min BG and back and forth then it was worth the wait.
It’s better to wait then collect Deserter after Deserter because of Premades never getting the opportunity to have a Regular BG.
Missed opportunity because this feature alone would sky rocket PvP participation. It’s the most requested PvP and BG feature in history. SOD should do it and watch PvP flourish.
You can literally go on the Retail BG forums and see recent Solo Que request for BGs. Just add the most requested BG feature in history finally for the first time.

There won’t be odd number games because it’s Solo Que. There will be 100,000’s of Solo players in Que. It will place 10 Solo players in a BG. The Que will be instant and if someone leaves it will be immediately filled. Since it’s Solo Que. Apparently you don’t know what Solo Que is.
We are actually looking for good PvP from Regular BGs. The problem is we can’t get Regular BGs anymore due to the Premade problem. Premades aren’t Regular BGs. I don’t think the format of Regular BGs should go away. Just let us have some Regular BGs to enjoy and Solo Que.

How does a premade game fill when it seeds a 5 man with a 4 man, and a 9 man? You need 2 solo variables
People make a lot of claims about why premade qs rise, but no actual thought is put into it. Games cannot pop mathematically when you remove the single variable

It will pair the 5 man with another 5 man so that = 10.
The 4 man will pair with a 6 man, or 4 man and 2 man still = 10
It’s not complicated Just have a Team Que and Solo Que.
Solo Que would be the biggest feature and success ever released into WoW. PvP participation would be at an all time high. SOD could be somethign special. Solo Que is where the real PvP is at.
Matchmaking is in direct reference to battlegrounds.

They claim “every game is a premade” so this is already false according to them.
Imagine thinking people who want to pvp in a structured environment are suddenly going to move to an unstructured environment.

Of course but with that said 100,000’s of new players would start playing SOD if they add Solo Que. It’s by far the most requested game feature of the last decade. PvP players want it and need it. This would really create good ole organic fun PvP.
SOD likely peaked over 1 mil unique concurrent players. There was almost 5 million character created in week 1. So who knows how many players that have tried it but it’s over 1 million.
I can tell you, with certainty, that none of your numbers are remotely close.
There’s no reason to even take that number seriously.
I have 3 accounts with toons on them, like 14 various bank alts, 4 toons I play, and we have no idea how many bot characters there are
Let’s make an equation for fun.
1 million characters. Let’s assume every player has (10 characters) total. These are toons they play, toons they barely play, and bank alts.
1 million divided by 10 toons =
100,000
That’s 100k players with multiple toons, not 1 mill players
Well depending on what the queue changes coming involve I guess we’ll see how many people were premading because they genuinely like it vs how many just wanted to pug stomp.

When I was full premading, I ran into ALOT more teams that were fighting out entire games to the end. Even if they were above 45 minutes.
Then I ran into teams that gave up after the first cap. But this isn’t really an argument or ammo, as pugs do the same thing in pug v pug.
Premades are already fighting each other, and to claim they are all dodging each other is a campfire story and cannot be proven. I play both sides of the coin, pugs are not on the moral high ground, never giving up and fighting competitive games cs pugs every game. Nobody believes you when this is the obtuse claim. This is just something all parties do. But to claim premades absolutely aren’t fighting each other is hilarious. Premades are fighting more premades than they are pugs, because pugs claim “every game is a premade”
So you either need to eat your words or change the story
