Rsham is good. Hpal is better in nearly every way.

It suffers from the now typical MMO formula. If it isn’t the best, it’s trash.

With how easy it is to level and gear an alt, and the mindset MMO players now have, people jump onto the FoTM specs. That doesn’t mean the others are “bad”.

Rsham is worse than Hpld/Disc, maybe worse than Prevoker, but it’s very playable. Like many specs it is in need of a little rework, mostly for quality of life things.

It doesn’t help that Rsham is one of the more complex healers on top of it not being as strong as easier to play healers like Hpld.

a week or so ago i tried out no healing rain / no prim wave totemic and it felt significantly better than farseer

i havent played tooo many games since then but it seems promising so far, not bringing us up to top tier or anything but feels more competitive

the class tree is completely matchup dependent so dont focus on that

Totemic is only going to be good when you’re playing with or against double melee, imo.

Unfortunately not even then because totemic is oom city.

Rsham doesn’t feel terrible, or even bad really. I regularly hit upwards of 3 mil Surges/Waves. The only time I get slightly annoyed is when I’m having to juggle ES between multiple people dying, makes utilizing reactive warding much harder and just feels terrible

This is what I’ve been saying! I think rshaman is really solid with and against wizards where you can get more value out of reactive warding and your shear/ground.

No offense to other Rshams and not saying they couldn’t use a buff at all but I think a lot of them are scared to cast anything and if riptides aren’t topping people they think the spec is worse than it is

Yep. I cannot tell you how many times I do a vod review and rshaman just press HST off cd and don’t know how to use farseer clones and just only riptide even when kicks are down and they have tidal wave procs. Or sit on NS like it’s a major CD, especially as farseer.

I agree with this, I’d only add to my original point that I do tend to lose on mana fairly often. Possible buff to Water Shield or Mana Tide would be kinda cool but that’s bout it

Also this. Feels like you lose to everything on mana except rdruid, and even then if rdruid gets one good drink you still lose.

I don’t want mana to not matter for rshaman at all like has happened in the past, but it definitely struggles atm.

Got to 1864 tonight, next stop 1950. Totemic is actually troll, can do 360s mid map eating cc and still heal quite well, im surprised, mana seems fine.

Gave the build my own twist to suit my playstyle.

Farseer can’t keep up vs war or bm in shuffle

Maybe FLS or RLS can work, but totemic is way more effective
