Are resto druids weak in dungeons? I was trying to heal one as a balance druid and this dps kept calling me boosted. I’m a long time bal/resto druid main i know what I’m doing but he was dying almost in 2 seconds every time pally tank pulled. Pally wasn’t really keeping aggro but I could heal him. Lock had 6.7 k hp but he kept getting insta gibbed every fight. Am I in the wrong? My regrowth is 2 second cast but it felt soo slow.

I mean…if you heal in Balance spec it will be harder, yes.
I main resto druid and it’s been mad easy with Wild Growth now.

People that try to these DPS/HEAL specs, tend to just makes run’s longer than they need to be.

I think you should stick to healing as DPS on your Priest, then.
No. God no. Most trees I’ve had have been able to keep their mana well conserved and not spam me like idiots when I am at full hp despite me going out of my way to challenge them (me tank!).
From your story, AND if you’re being honest, your problem was a garbo paladin tank, which comes as no surprise since WotLK brings in tons of scrubadin rerolls who either rush for dk or were told they would be supremely strong and useful… Despite that most of them are god damn awful at playing any spec of paladins and nobody will give them a raid spot when it’s all said and done.
dont play dps when you queue as a healer, simple has that, balance/resto is not for wotlk, go resto the way it is, there is plenty of guides on wowhead/icyveins and more sites that can help you, I will assume you are being honest when you ask if balance /resto is good for healing and not just trolling

Ye . Just asking cuz i healed all of tbc dungeons as balance. Feels bad now in wotlk.

My lawyer said to never answer that. I was actually asking btw. I healed ramparts and beyond as balance so was just asking.
If a dps kept pulling off the tank and you couldnt keep the dps alive it is not your fault.
He needs to watch his aggro.
If the tank is basically dieing before you can get a 2 second cast off from 100 to 0 it is a tank issue.
Yeah I was confused cuz the lock kept getting instagibbed before my regrowth went off. But my next run had a dk tank who never lost aggro even with moonkin starfall into hurricane. So was confused
