As I have spent the past week playing in WOTLK leveling up various toons I think to myself
“I should play this guy, he’s been sitting in a home city for over a week so I should have a few levels of rested xp”
I log over to him only to find out my xp bar is purple and I have been robbed of my rested xp.
So because I didn’t log into the character immediately upon release of WOTLK classic I get screwed?
Yes. When a new expansion releases you have to log into each toon that you want to start receiving rested XP on. I believe it only applies to toons that were max level when the expansion releases, however.
This was exactly the same when TBC was released, you had to log in to start rested XP. Here’s the message I put out in our discord before wotlk was released:
“log in to all of your 70s even if you aren’t going to level them, this will start the rested XP accumulation. Otherwise if you log in 4 months later on a 70 you will have no rested XP.”
This wasn’t a secret. All my 70s have rested XP all thru level 70, I can’t even see the slider bar which demarks the end of rested XP.
