Respeccing is costing some upwards of 60 USD per item

Anyone paying this much gold to reforge is a fool. I don’t care how hardcore you are that is just dumb. Get a second set of gear even if you lose a handful of ilvl’s.

If you want to believe that despite a loooong history of switching gear between specs and always believe they’re out to make a buck like that then sure. There’s nothing to base that off of, but it’s up to you.

You don’t like the cost of reforging because you refuse to let the timer tick off to bring the cost back down? Ok solution… Blizzard can just remove reforging, now your stuck with your trait choices.

Deal with the reality of the situation. They told you prior to launch that this is how it was going to work. They told you they the system is NOT intended for you to swap back and forth constantly. They told you that the intent was to allow some degree of forgiveness to picking poor traits for your play style and to offer an option if you find yourself needing to switch specs at some point. They told you that the price won’t be prohibitive if you use the system as it is intended. They told you, if you find the price prohibitive, you should re-evaluate how you are playing the game and consider just getting a second or third set of gear.

They do not want you switching traits around every fight 20 times a day. It is intended that you would switch traits once or twice in a single week and generally stick to the same traits for the majority of play.

You think that’s how they make their money? LOL … If people are misusing the reforge system then I guess Blizzard hit a goldmine.

Anyone else notice it’s usually the people who do next to nothing in BfA that say this?

Serious players would farm to get multiple pieces and use the other for their other specs.

Are you kidding?

Until I went primal primer build I carried multiple pieces of gear based on the encounter for ONE spec. Pulease

Did you know that Blizz added Necromancers in the game? MUAHAHAHAHA! ARISE! ARISE! Spread your Vile once again!

I’m pretty sure the price of repecing your item resets you should never be spending that much

Illumona’s Log, Date 5/18/19

We have come upon a starship that, to our horror, appears to have undead crew, manned by a necromancer who A: Is fairly new to the Forum Universe, and B: Is in violation of the Forum CoC. I have instructed my First Officer Gorev to fire pulse waves, which will put the undead to sleep. From there, the captain, codenamed Huphup, will be taken into custody and possibly sentenced to a vacation from the forums. As for the ship, it will be towed to the nearest starport, where it will be retired and the crew given an honorable burial.

Yeah, you got me you dirty…

If people are daft enough to spend $60 on a miniscule, temporary improvement in gear, they’re the ones with issues when it comes to justifying their behavior, not Blizzard. Blizzard is not clambering through the IntarTubes to force them to do this and to spend real money doing it.

Edited to add: Dagnabbitty necromancy!

what idiot pays real life money to refoge???

I remember a time they added Intellect, Strength and Agility to all gear so we would not have to carry multiple set of gear. I guess they threw that out the window with a lot of other stuff

It’s called: “Why should we stop fools from giving us money?”

Yes, that’s how it used to be, tier sets were spec specific, and I quite liked this, once my MS was geared I’d gear OS, that’s what you can do with azerite, gear your MS, then gear your OS, instead of scrapping 3x400 OS pieces just to buy 415 for your MS.

Serious players? I’ll have you know that I have bags full of extra gear on my 3 max level characters. Much of it is Azerite gear. And most of that I haven’t even looked at the traits. And I’m about as far from serious as you can get right now.

That might have something to do with not being able to sell any of it though.

Why not scrap it?

I do, just not very often. Especially on the Horde toons as running down and around the pyramid is annoying. I tend to get more of the useless stuff when I do though like flux or whatever instead of cloth, fur, or ore. Seems like useless extra steps if you aren’t actually doing any crafting: get gear, scrap gear, collect mats, AH mats versus just vendor the stuff or AH it for the enchanters.

Fair enough. I am similar. I get yelled at constantly for “messy bags” because I dont hit vendors/scrapper nearly as much as I should.

And yeah. Running down the pyramid. Blows. Constantly trying to figure out “can I survive another fall damage hit?”
