Indeed. Same here. I am finding the different degrees of insanity now. Im still finding out which level is my favorite though
Blizzard makes changes to help gear alts and to combat RNG… players cry because they don’t play game as much as others… How in the hell can blizzard win with you people!
Good god anything to cry about! Guess what you have 4-5 solid months of nothing to get the things that you want. Just because you can’t have everything you want right now let’s all cry about this together!
The vendor isn’t even implemented today, and you have time to farm echos after server goes up. You are not hurt by someone having more than you. The world will not end, and the sky is not falling chicken little. Stop trying to screw others since you feel screwed when you really aren’t
Only in GD can people complain about how a currency for alt catch-up is bs because it doesnt affect mains.
Well I participate in arena and I’d prefer to not walk into arena this week versus someone with 5 gushing wounds immediately just to get smoked by the fact I played my character and earned the essences while someone else’s main didn’t but acquired all this currency to make their character vastly overpowered.
Plenty of mains are getting this currency, mainly those with multiple specs that didn’t buy the essences for their off-specs.
It’s not just the amount of echoes you have right now - it also adds more pressure on people to do MORE things in the game to get these. I really dislike this approach. I can see certain guilds pushing people to do MORE or get kicked because they’d expect the player to buy the good stuff as quickly as possible.
It’s a very shady move to do it this way. I understand they want people to spend time in their game but this is just another sign of more grind and less fun. It could just have been done in better way is what I’m trying to say.
Huh. Welp thats what I get for having both my main and off-spec ones already r3.
That’s true, so diminishing the value of them by 80% isn’t horrible. But we still did the content to earn them. Like you said, no one had a reason to farm them so a majority of the earned echoes were just from playing the game (although I’m sure some people farmed echoes for some unknown personal reason).
Yes, no one was saving them on purpose, but they were still doing everything required to earn them through normal gameplay. We didn’t spend echoes on our mains because we already had all the essences.
Yeah and I literally have 0 because my character was unable to earn them. What don’t you get about it?
They have a week, I say just calculate all the activities we have done since it was added then give players equal to the uncollected amount.
This is what they should do:
Existing echoes can only BUY ESSENCES.
New Echoes can buy either; That would make us equal.
Otherwise, it would not be fair to remove the 15-25K of echoes some people have, while I also don’t really think it was fair of my only being able to have 750 total after I locked up Mother by buying off spec rank 3 so my alts could see them
(though the alts are far from being able to buy them, so If I’d KNOWN about this, I would not have DONE IT.)
10K per week, maybe 15K if you run more stuff, someone has 75K already, that’s… carry the zero, multiple by factor of Pi and you are 5 weeks behind. FIVE WEEKS. How is that fair?
Hell yeah. I love knowing I’m ~2 months behind someone else just because I play the game regularly with only one character.
I just started playing again, don’t have all my R3 on any character and don’t feel fully affected by this but I can still look at it from a long time player perspective and tell it’s horribly implemented.
I mean, the entire corruption system is a dumpster fire. This new idea of theirs should not be surprising.
Aren’t these the items you get from just doing normal items like dungeons, world quests, etc.? How do you not have any? Obviously not playing all aspects of the game.
Because you can’t earn the currency if you have R3 of everything already…
Hurrdurrrrrr!
You have 100 corruption with twilight devastion on that character already, how are you going to be behind 2 months?
I wasn’t replying to all your comments, just the one I read and quoted before starting my response. Having now read your later comment, I suppose I don’t quite get why you have 0 echoes and/or corruptions? The only reason I can think of is that you just didn’t do the quests required and are worried about the other people who did.
I’m also guessing this is an issue for PVP only players who had less reason to do content that awarded echoes since you didn’t care about the cloak. However I’d argue you should have been doing visions for the chance at corrupted gear. Maybe you’d have less echoes for not doing some of the other content, but not 80% less.
I’m sorry but that person who has 75K will have millions by the time any of us casual scrubs can claim 75k again.
Some people have more time, some people play more. Extreme cases should not be considered a normal for the general player base.
