How do I reserve my name, do I just log into the wow classic game and create a character. is that it

Still time for those who want to set this up
 Here is how easy it is:

Set up remote access to your computer

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. In the address bar, type remotedesktop.google.com/access .
  3. Under ‘Set up Remote Access’, click Download
  4. Follow the on-screen directions to download and install Chrome Remote Desktop.

You may have to enter your computer password to give Chrome Remote Desktop access. You may also be prompted to change security settings in Preferences.

Access a computer remotely

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. In the address bar at the top, type remotedesktop.google.com/access , and press Enter .
  3. Click Access to select which computer you want.
  4. Enter the PIN required to access another computer.
  5. Select the arrow to connect.

For your security, all remote desktop sessions are fully encrypted.

Sorry for my ignorance. But you reserve a name by creating a character, but that character doesnt acually transfer correct? you have to delete the character once classic launches to get the name?

There is no transfer at all. Nor do you have to delete it. You are creating your character for classic, but you won’t be able to actually start playing til the 27th.

This is to Torquemadan as well as Iatromantis: look at your Blizzard launcher, select WoW, then look at the choices right above the PLAY button. There is a field for “Version” and another for “Account.” You’ll need to switch from retail to “World of Warcraft Classic” and then select the account you want to use for creation if you have more than one.

After launching the Classic version, you’ll have a list of new, classic servers, some are pve, some pvp, and one will be rp and one more that’s rp-pvp. Choose the one you like and then go through the character creation set-up just as you would for any character you’ve ever made before.

Best of luck getting some characters made with the names you want!

Will there be an east coast RPPVP server or all all of us going to join that one exclusive west coast one? Doesn’t quite make sense to only hold one and expect it not to have long queues.

I think the servers you are seeing now in WoW Classic game, are test servers. If you create characters there, they won’t be available on real live servers.

Still wanting to know what servers will be available for WoW Classic live
 Is there a list available somewhere? Or we will have to wait and see at 3pm PDT today?
