In 2006 Blizzard implemented character transfers not only between realms but also between WoW Accounts that were under the same registered owner name.
In the FAQ listed on the web page it does state you plan to keep the character transfers between realms and have no intention of adding additional services at this time. I’m sure there are good reasons to not allow characters to transfer between accounts. However, I am making the post as directed by game support in hopes it could be discussed.
Thank you.

If they go forward with Boosts i would be against this as it just a work around to 58 Boosts on one account

they could prevent transfer of boosted toons easy enough, though personally i don’t think it’s that big of a deal.

Yeah, I understand that.
I feel like the people who want to abuse 58 boosts are going to find a way regardless. :-/

I hope we get account to account transfers in tbc. My shaman is stuck on my old account, and now i want to transfer them to my new account.

+1. I hate having scarab lord on one account and my panda cub on another >_<

Also desperately want this. It existed back then, it should now. My paladin is currently on an account that has leveled horde characters on the server I want to move it to. I have a second account that has alliance characters on that same server I want to move to.

This was sorely missed in classic, if 58 boost is in I don’t see why this cant be as well along with other shop features from retail.
Please Blizzard!

Honestly, I would just like them to merge my accounts together… Not like they lose the money I spent on them since they haven’t been active in a decade.

Not really fond of the idea. With boosts incoming meant to be limited to one per account, account-to-account transfers would be an obvious problem.

Unlikely to be an issue, beyond what issue boosts already bring. Assume they will sell additional boosts in the cash shop. The 15$ a month sub fee plus the fee they charge to merge a character to a different account is as higher or higher than the cost of buying a boost, probably.

They specifically stated it’s once per account, so why would I assume that?

They stated we’ll get a free one I think? I’ve never known Blizzard to ever give out a free boost and then not also turn around and sell them in the shop. I’d say its a definite possibility they’ll be there.

I kinda interpreted what I read differently. Thought we’d all get one free per account and then it shows up to buy more in the cash shop like Blizz has done before at the start of expansions.
They specifically stated one per account. There’d be no point putting it in the store (unless that was how you bought your one time use).
The boosts in retail have always come with the purchase of an expansion, usually costing $60. We don’t have to pay for TBC, so the boost will be $60. The boosts in retail do not specify being one per account like this one was.
Even if that’s not the case, $15 for a new account and $25 for an account-to-account transfer is cheaper than the $60 they charge for boosts.
That is true! Thank you for bringing that point up.
If they charged the exact amount for an account to account transfer as it would cost to purchase a new account and purchase a boost, do you think that would help mitigate the people who would abuse it?
There will always be people who abuse game systems or shops however they can. We know that by now in the online gaming community. However, is the amount of people that stand to benefit from account to account transfers worth it to Blizzard for their customers?
