I would like a GM account to help deal with the Bots and gold sellers on Classic Era NA.
If nessicary, I would supply Blizz with my irl information, but I would just like to be a in game GM so that I could clean up the bots and gold sellers. I would be willing to do this for free… No, I would pay Blizzard to be able to do this, just so that we can have bot and gold seller free servers.
I’ve never broken the EULA, so please, just let me help.
Edit: Older accounts that don’t have a record of bans should be eligible.
All GM positions are full-time employee positions, located mostly in Austin, Texas. If there are any openings, you can apply here: https://careers.blizzard.com/global/en
And what do you think you can do better/faster than Blizzard? You just want to smite them instantly? You think that really solves the problem?
Again, what plans do you intend to take, other than just wanting to slap bans on everyone?

That is part of the issue, Doubletap, thinking that it is as simple as “see possible bot, ban possible bot”. It isn’t.
The majority of the botting accounts use licenses that are stolen from legitimate players, or created illicitly.
The goal is to have meaningful impact by breaking, blocking or automatically detecting the methods and programs that are in use. Not just remove the few potential bots that you currently see, which will be replaced almost immediately by other compromised accounts. The simple move of banning those potential bots that you are seeing is often like swatting at flies. Having very little overall impact or lasting effect.
If you are serious about wanting to help, please be sure to use the right click report option and report those that you feel may be botting or otherwise exploiting.
If you wish to go a step further, keep an eye on our Careers page. Keep in mind, Game Masters aren’t part of our Hacks team so aren’t generally involved in the various investigations and preventative measures that we use to deal with this kind of exploitation.
While we do what we can, as long as there is a market for this it is extremely unlikely that it will ever go away entirely. It is an industry issue, not specific to WoW.
