Tuesday maintenance maybe that argument could work, but maintenance is never “scheduled” for Wednesday, and it wasn’t “scheduled” Tuesday, it was scheduled sometime after 1am EST Wednesday.

Isn’t it something upwards of 30% of the US works either in Restaurants or Retail, and the busiest time for both are much later in the Afternoon?
Personally, I am an early riser and play pretty much in the first few hours of the day before I head off to work. We’re talking 4 AM till about 6:30 or so. I’m the only one up at that time, and in the afternoon/evenings after work I’m spending time with wife/kids. So, I’d love this, and sympathize with you. However, I’m pretty sure that vast majority of players play in the afternoon/evening, and probably well into the early morning for a lot. Sorry, but we are the outlier.

At night is when I actually play the game! In the morning I am just logged in to do something random in between work emails.
I agree it is annoying they have this much maintenance but night maintenance wouldn’t feel any better, and potentially worse for many people.
I don’t play 12 hours a day, so maintenance is not a problem; however, if it’s possible to do groups of servers at once, but not shut down the whole world at once, that would be ideal. I’m on a few different servers.

Or. They could do it during a weekday, during daytime hours, when most people are either working or in school.

How bout every time WOW is down for maintenance outside the scheduled Tuesday maintenance, which everyone is accustomed to, I get that time added to my subscription time.

I wish i could wipe away my tears with those certs since they hold so little value…but they are covered in 20 year old dust.
It’s either an entire region or nothing at all. All the realms are spidered together cause of the recent AH change and 10ish year cross realm play capabilities.

I miss when they did this in Vanilla, comped everyone when they had extended or emergency maintenance outside of Tuesday, or if Tuesday maintenance ran longer than X amount of hours.

How’d you get access to their servers to tell when the peak game play times are?
I don’t miss weekly 8+ hour server maintenance days.

You can track rough activity by looking at the volume of group finder listings (after removing ads of course) and look at rate of new keys/bosses completed thru raider io.
