Request for Game Master

I’m dealing with a specific issue for which I’ve submitted a ticket

US103720619
US103721369

The Game Master’s response did not address any of the specific issues, instead, I just received a generic response that did not help resolve the issue.

Is there some way to request another Game Master to review these tickets?

Thanks

You would need to re-open the ticket if you still need help, do remind that GM’s cannot assist with all matters in the game though.

There are no GM’s on the forum and the only way to reach a GM is through the ticket system. There are certain things a Game Master cannot do. If it’s a bug, they cannot assist you and you need to report your issue as a bug.

If you can shed some light on your issue, maybe we can point you in the right direction.

It usually tends to be different GMs each time a ticket is addressed.

Please do feel free to inquire about your issue here, and folks are more than happy to help as best we are all able to.

Now, if it’s an appeal, that is absolutely only addressed via tickets, but know that appeals are not for people to plead their case – only for a fresh pair of eyes to look over things. And you’re only ever going to receive generic templated responses. Either it’s upheld, overturned or possibly been moved up for a more indepth look.

If you wish to undelete your level 27 character - horde - Whitemane, you will want to delete your level 1 night elf you made just today, on Whitemane.

Names are realm specific. They aren’t just Horde or Alliance. Existing on one will preclude them being used on the same realm for the other.

This is mainly a player discussion forum, not a means to contact GM support, or request specific replies related to a ticket. Don’t suppose you could share the details on what the ticket is about, so us players can explain why you received the response you did?

The names are not the issue.

Here is the summary:

I have both Alliance PvP / Horde PvP on Whitemane Classic / Crusader Strike SoD.

I deleted a character → now I can’t undelete character because it says I can’t have both Alliance & Horde on a PvP server.

But, both of these servers allowed for PvP characters on both factions.

I am attempting to restore deleted characters, on the same server they existed - but now it says it’s restricted.

You are trying to undelete a character on Whitemane/Classic with the same name as one you just created today on Whitemane/Classic.

My guess is you are getting the wrong error message. Try what Orlyia said.

To force a name-change.

Even if I resolve the name-conflict issue, the main point of the ticket is that for both Whitemane Classic and Crusader Strike Season of Discovery, I can’t undelete because it says I can’t have characters for both Alliance & Horde on the PvP server.

This is a new restriction.

I was able to create both Alliance and Horde on these PvP servers previously.

Now can I can’t undelete the horde character, because I already have other high-level alliance on the same servers (Whitemane-Classic, Crusader Strike- SoD)

You cannot force a name change through this way anymore.

  • If the active character that holds the name belongs to you, you can delete the active character first, then you will be able to undelete your deleted character as normal.

Even if you see a different error, this would still primarily stop an undelete. Or as Orlyia said, you’re trying to undelete a same-named toon.

You’re the 10th person I’ve interacted with, in this community, Game Master, Customer Support, Player, or otherwise, who appears to stop reading after the first sentence.

It’s not about the name-change.

Maybe it’s time for me to give it up.

Or maybe it is… and you need to delete the level 1. Have you tried that? Do so and report back if you are still getting the same error message.

My guess is that the game is giving you the incorrect error. That i should be telling you that you have a char of the same name.

If 10 people tell you the same thing, maybe at least TRY what they are telling you to do?

The issue is:

“You cannot have both a Horde and Alliance character on the same PvP server”

But these restrictions were not in-place for Whitemane-Classic or Crusader Strike-Season of Discovery

It’s not about the name. This is the error that occurs after deleting the level 1. The error is a Alliance/Horde PvP restriction, which must be new, because previously it didn’t exist.

THIS is the key part. You needed to share that you already tried the step to delete the level 1 and have left it deleted.

Also, for classic servers it always used to be that you could not have both alliance and horde, until they changed it for retail. I was not even aware they ever carried that change to the Classic type realms.

You didn’t delete the one that is probably blocking.

You deleted one with an alt character. At least, from what my tools are showing me.

I do see a character on Whitemane under that name deleted - a level one, but then you recreated it 3 min later, and I still see it.

Earlier in this thread, I wrote “Here is the summary”, with four bullet points, and it appears no one actually read it, including the Game Masters who initially responded to the ticket.

On Crusader Strike, it looks like the Alliance are locked due to faction imbalance right now. Is the character you’re trying to undelete Alliance? If so, that might be the issue right now.

Edit: I see it’s a horde you’re trying to undelete, so that’s not likely the issue…was just checking.

I have a level 51 Alliance Priest, which is blocking the restoration of the level 27 horde shaman.

The level 1 was created to serve no other purpose than to force a name-change on the restored deleted character.

There’s no forced name change in the system anymore - they stop that as folks was wanting name changes for free.
