The difference between the GDKPs and the AH is: Everyone can level the prices and everything loses value in time or more of it, GDKPs gives gold power in way that not even for everyone. Its becomes an point system at that point and then just use an addon. boom fair and gold won’t loses value as the phases go on. As we seen in P1 and not p2. P2 have an stockwave of gold in the system form p1. You can see it in the prices in WOTLK are much bigger because of GDKPs and as we see now in SOD P2 prices are about the same or little more than they actual should because form P1 gold problem.
GDKP is bad and everyone knows it.

DKP addons are a tool that guild groups use that make it difficult fill temporary absences because no one wants to come in with 0 DKP and get nothing.
GDKP allows you to take the DKP system into the pug scene because you can earn the currency in other groups and outside of raid.
thats the real problem who hate it. It base on in-game money that do not be use that way
and you put an 100 dkp base on everyone and bid off that and the problem is fix

More than anything else, the thing that makes me certain GDKP should come back is the nature of responses in this thread.
Pro-GDKP: Thoughtful, rational, (mostly) respectful reasons why players should be free to choose their own loot system and the solution is in enforcing existing bans on RMT & botting.

GDKP should remain banned
and they should increase the barriers for gold selling scumbags, and buyers to make accounts.
They should trial run some servers where they only allow accounts in good standing with verified american ID’s and facial recognition to make characters there.

DKP addons are pretty much exclusively used in a guild environment for that specific raid team only. GDKP can be used in a pug environment or a guild environment because the currency you use to bid is universal and not specific to that one raid team.

When was the last time you saw a DKP group looking to pug raiders in LFG? They only recruit to guild.
yet it can be done by someone easily and every GDKPs can use because we all use addons. its not an new thing. Its Make 100 each player to bid and its fair. It would be exact like it. But you guy will always try to find an way to poke holes when come to your gold making way.

Why would they be mad? They can just buy a carry and get all the loot guaranteed now.
Choosing your own loot system is not a good enough reason to lock raiding behind a gold price, to inflate the economy drastically with gold bought from gold sellers, or to further encourage the use of bots.
You might think your arguments are well thought out, but it’s just a fact that GDKP is bad for the game and bad for the mmo’s in game economy. It’s so obviously so that it really does not need to be explained.
