Reputation Grind

Hi-Hi. How’s it going? Gonna make my night elf death knight later on today. I’m not into mount collecting usually but I do like the death charger and the night elf racial mounts. Now deciding which color for the cat mount I want is the challenging part lol.

For the Dranei racial mounts, I don’t exactly mind them but they aren’t my favorite. I’m totally alright with getting the lvl 20 racial mount for her since getting from lvl 20 to 40 is going to take a while. But I do eventually want to get the lvl 40 human horse mount. I’m especially a sucker for the horse with the glowing purple eyes. So any tips outside of doing quests in the human areas and turning in wool cloth to the quart master? How long does it usually take to get to exalted with stormwind if you are a dranei? I will have my daeath knight to help out some in obtaining the wool cloth but any other ways to raise reputation, and expedite it before level 40?

It’s been awhile since I’ve done it, but if I recall correctly, doing all the quests in the regions surrounding Stormwind should be enough to get your character to exalted with SW. I’d just make sure you’re doing Elwynn, Westfall, Redridge, Duskwood, Arathi, some of the Northern Stranglethor, and Arathi. There’s also quests within some of the Horde territories that may be worth looking into.

Just do every pre-60 quest. It’s a lot of work, but it’s doable without forking over hundreds of stacks of Runecloth. You can also download the Question addon for assistance with focusing on Stormwind-rep quests.

Thank you everybody. So can you only turn in rune cloth or can you turn in wool cloth too? Which one offers the most rep per stack? If I run around the human territories and not go anywhere else, will h reach exalted by level 40? Course I could also just do them when I’m higher leveled and breeze through it lol. Only problem with leveling in human zones is that humans don’t have hunter trainers in the city since humans ,for some baffling reason can’t be hunters, same way blood elves can’t be warriors. From a gameplay perspective I get it, but from a lore perspective it’s seems a little weird you can’t be those classes for those races. But I digress lol

You can do (1) turn-in of (3) stacks of Wool, Silk, and Mageweave. You have to do these three cloths before you can do unlimited Runecloth stacks. In addition, the Runecloth turn-in has (or had) a minimum-level requirement – I dont remember what that is/was.

Alright. Thank you. Turning in cloth may not be my main source of rep but I will use it often enough. I want to get into inscription and maybe engineering since I’ll have my death doing herbalism and mining anyways for gold. I get a bit ocd about ammo and my money. Just want a back up plan just in case ammo gets too expensive. Course I could always just use lower level arrows as long as I have a good Gun or bow. Just have to split some of the minerals I get in my death knight with my hunter.

Hello! I did this with a draenie priest earlier in the summer. I did literally every quest as close to level as I could (I finished dranie starting area and started teldrassil, then elwynn, etc). The rep of my choice - night elf - was exalted at 35ish, with the others finishing around 40. Gnome took the longest.

One thing people don’t realize is that quests give hidden rep to the other main factions. If you kill hogger and turn in the quest you get stormwind rep, but you’re also getting 25% rep for the other cities as well. This only doesn’t pertain to the very beginner areas like northshire abbey.

Just go nutty questing everywhere and it’ll come

Thanks so much! Wasn’t aware of the hidden rep gains lol.
