The reputation of Dark Talons I was pursuing was half way to reach Exalted, but after 07/11 update that reputation became 0/3000 which made me so upset! I asked my friends, they didn’t experience such a bug. Please help!!!
First thing to try is a Full UI Reset to rule out a faulty addon or UI.
Otherwise, you would need to post in the Bug Report forums to let them know about the potential bug.
Many thanks my friend!
There are many people with this issue. A GM finally contacted me and they also see it as neutral, so this is definitely a bug now. They cannot fix it.
Consider adding to Bug Report threads so it gets more eyes and hopefully a fix. Months of time lost obviously isn’t intended.
Adding it to Bug Reports gets it in front of the eyes of those who CAN fix it. They do not take tickets, and the GM staff do not fix bugs as their job is to answer tickets. Fixing bugs is the job of QA and the devs, who you notify via the Bug Report Forum or using the ingame bug report tool.
Exactly - more eyes and hopefully a fix, from Dev.
GM’s can fix some things, which include certain ‘bugs’ (however one wants to define that here) as a GM did fix my previous issue with Dark Talon AND Voldunai rep resetting to 0/3000 Neutral. Unfortunately, GMs are saying this is indeed outside of their ability to fix (not in a Dev sense obviously, but in a Character sense as they often do) - hence we’re here in the forums!
I am experiencing the same issue. I farmed the rep to exalted before 10.1.5 and as of 10.1.5 I am showing back to neutral…Ouch.
post in the Bug Report forum. Customer Support is players helping other players. The SFAs here are not liaisons with QA in Bug Report.
For those affected by this known issue…
I put in a ticket, again, to restore my Dark Talons rep. Context: It was restored once, to some amount into Revered, due to a faction change bug (which reset it to neutral). So my reputation was KNOWN to GM’s who restored it once.
But now… apparently they cannot verify that previous GM restoration was done, but then say “we have in the past for you, yes”. So you DO see what you restored??? In my ticket, all I asked was for them to restore it to that previous amount (thousands or rep below what I earned after) that they did once before, due to their own bug. Nope. Even with proof. Nope.
Here is their response. I will preface this by saying they were incredibly polite, and I sympathize with them (I was admittedly curt, but not rude, after zero resolution after 60+ days since this issue affected myself and many others). I expect to get what I pay for, as they expect me to pay on time, every month. I held my end of the bargain… I feel cheated here though.
I will point out, how it is clearly known, several (their words) people were affected (months of time, mind you) but… yeah no - grind again!! despite us paying monthly to NOT lose progress in a game all about… progress.
Pretty sure paying a fee, to lose what you paid for, isn’t good business.
“We have received several reports of this issue and can confirm it is not working as intended. Currently, we do not have a workaround or resolution that can be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience while our developers work as quickly as possible to resolve the issue.”
The issue here is that Game Masters are not bug testers nor developers. We are very limited and in most cases, there is not a way for us to dig in, test, verify, grant compensation/credit/etc. We have in the past for you, yes. We always try to help out when and where we can. In a majority of the cases where we can help, this is only after the bug testers have been able to replicate and verify a bug exists as well as determined if there is a safe and effective means for game masters to not only verify what is needed, but also assist. There have been situations where something was not working with an achievement but we will try to grant credit or help with a quest and the moment a relog or rezone happens, it reverts.
In this case though, there really is not a way for us to assist. If we were unable to see and verify what reputation you had/what was lost back when this happened, there is not a way to see it now. Over time, to cut down on the strain of the server and also to be in line with GDPR laws, information is purged.
In this case, there has not been a fix or workaround able to be found. While this is still a matter that is under review from the bug testers, I would not want to give false hope since time passing makes it unlikely and re-earning the rep is likely the only viable option available.
So to those affected - Grind again is the official response. And thank you for your monthly subscription fees while you do.
