It sounds like you’re not open to the logical reasons explaining why you’re wrong here. That’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion. But there are plenty of arguments that flesh out precisely why I, and many others in this thread, will continue to flag classic posts in GD. I’m sorry if you feel that is wrong.

Well flagging is being done to prevent it. Thats a clear indicator from the community. That and the lack of Likes on the post.

I usually just take the temporary forum ban and do something else until I can post again. Definitely will not modify my responses though. Nothing is more fun than putting an overly opinionated know-it-all in their place.

I agree. people shouldn’t be flagging threads they simply disagree with.
but if you’re spamming classsic threads, purposefully riling up the high elf folks, making a new topic on one that already has a very established thread doing on… .those are all examples of posts that are not entirely sincere, and you’re gonna get flagged by people.
while I think GD is generally just a place people come to argue, they’re also not dumb and can recognize someone who is just trolling.

If only that were true. Things will keep going the way they are going, until, blizzard has to put that “warning label” on GD.

I agree with you. I only report if it is trolling or inappropriate.
However, I think what you might think are reported for trolling may be reported for spam. A lot of these retail sux classic fo lyfe threads are indeed spam.
However I have hit reports for trolling on those too, as that is their intent a lot of times.
General Discussion literally says “Discuss World of Warcraft”. It can be anything related.
Whether you disagree with the content of the thread, if it doesn’t break any Code of Conduct rules, it shouldn’t be reported.
People are defending these types of flagging reasons, so that could be some evidence on people actually flagging because they disagree with a thread’s content, rather than it actually being a reportable offense.
Not sure why people do this, honestly.
Then you are clearly not reading the threads or intentionally being obtuse. I challenge you to bump one thread that was genuinely excited for classic and didn’t insult retail or it’s players.
