Ok so I have only been through about 30 posts of this thread or so. I may say somethinf already covered. If so, I apologize.

It is ok to have classic discussions on general. I have exactly zero issue with that. If you are looking for a discussion. Why do you prefer retail to classic? Why not give classic a chance? Classic has XYZ while retail has not had that for 6 years… Things like that are framed as a discussion

However something along the lines of all you haters yadda yadda retail is ded blah blah posts are made for one purpose and one purpose only. To troll and incite fights and bickering.

So these I flag. Discussions, I do not.

Classic players are posting here as well to have a much more broad discussion. Sometimes they are seeking a differing opinion, while not trolling, to challenge their own beliefs and feelings. Just my opinions though.

Most of the posts flagged actually are violating some CoC though, trolling is only one of the reason to flag.

Oh yea because letting people insult each other is way nicer and productive.
Would be a shame to act civil in public so we can have proper discussions.

Why would a subforum named “classic general discussion” exist if classic posts were meant to be posted in regular GD?

Very true. But Blizzard actively moving threads about Classic into the Classic forums is a statement, not an implication.
