Report player after BG

Is there anyway to report a player for a probable name violation if I can’t click on their portrait or name in chat?

There was a druid on the other team in the last BG whose name I wanted to report but I didn’t get a chance before the BG ended. I was hoping there was a “report” feature on the character page but there doesn’t appear to be.

You can send a email to hacks@blizzard.com with all details and name its not ideal but thats probably ur best bet.

Yeah that was the only real answer I saw after doing some googling, thanks for the response.

Just felt like it might end up at the wrong team but maybe they’ll forward it internally or something? Seems like my only bet at this point.

Yeah right click and report is the real better option but unfortunately this isnt something u can ticket a GM for and u cant report via forums not that u ever could so the hacks is the fall back option.

The hacks emails is not designed to report a players name. It is primaraly for hacks and exploits, not names reports as it is a different team that deals with naming violations to those who deal with hacks and cheats.

Do you have a better option for reporting a name then other then R&R im not aware of any other option.

Thats not meant to come off snarky apologies if it comes that way.

I don’t have any other option. If the OP remembers the name and server, it is possible to search the character and report the name that way from the search pane that also has BNet friends and other stuff too it. (If it does work that way as well.)

But the hacks email would end up with no likely outcome when it comes to any naming violation, as the email is primarily as stated, for hacks or cheats or exploits. Something in which a name violation would not fall under as. And since it is the hacks team that reviews each report from the email, a naming violation wouldn’t get through to the Game Masters via the hacks email, since Game Masters are the ones who deal with these sort of things.

I will say that the hacks email has been used as a last resort if no other venues are available, though it might be best to wait for official SFA confirmation.

A while back, I did use it to send information about an intelectual property violation that a mobile game was using WoW assets and voicelines for the game and youtube ads. The support article did say that I could use the email to report them.

Just a generic ticket would work - provided you have the accurate spelling of the name/realm.

One issue we run into a report like that can be if they have any ASCII characters in the name.

I was hesitant to suggest that i figured they tell u to report ingame or if you were unable to reset ur ui good to know for future reference.

They didn’t have any fancy characters thankfully.

I’ll do that then, thanks!
