Hi
I’ve seen and experienced extreme toxic behaviours in BG’s/Trade Chat whilst leveling and at max level, after a few games I started to report players for being absolutely rude to other players and single them out.
I have been reporting these behaviours for the past few weeks; however, I still see the same players around. In the past I used to receive a notification from Customer Support that my report was actioned, nowadays I don’t think that exists.
Does the report actually work?

Yes. But it can take time.
I think the letters may still happen, but they don’t always appear in the game you did the reporting from. I’ve had those letters from reports made in retail appear in Classic when I logged in to check a character. It’s been a while for me, so I’m not sure they still go out.

It only takes one report to get on Blizz’s radar and they will get to it. Multiple reports from different players work faster to remove toxic players.

It works, how many come here about language violations, trust me it gets results. You might still see them as such violations rarely lead to bans but they do earn suspensions.

Keep it up. I report stuff like that all the time. With right-click reporting, it’s really easy. I report jerks in dungeons. I report spammers in chat channels while sitting in queue. I don’t track the results, but I’m pretty confident the reports do go through and get addressed.
I haven’t seen one of those in a while either. But I’m still pretty certain that the reporting works.

Hang around these forums and you’ll see that it does work extremely well. The amount of times I’ve seen someone complain about being suspended for toxic behaviour it’s almost laughable, with so many excuses for said toxic behaviour also. Keep up the great job you and others are doing to make the game less toxic.

It does, but not as fast people would like. I’ll report folks for really abusive language in chat and they’re still there weeks later.
I kind of wish though we would get a notification that the player you reported was actioned, nothing specific, but at least we would know something was done.

If you haven’t received a notification of your report being actioned, try logging into a different ‘era’ than what you sent the report from (i.e. if you sent the report in Retail, try logging into Classic, and vice versa). For some reason the “thanks for reporting!” and behavior warning notifications aren’t being sent correctly unless you log into another version of WoW and suddenly get them all at once.
My personal record of “thanks for reporting!” message is 70, from when I logged into Mists of Pandaria Classic to get a pandaren through their intro quests. …I had to close out each notification one by one. SEND HELP.
