Repeating Sporefall, EXPLOIT?

We are currently able to repeat Sporefall. My guild plans to do this with a small group and then a large group, back to back.

Blizzard has not made a statement if this is intended or not, and there are articles coming out now saying this is an exploit that has resulted in account suspensions.

I see no topics here about account bannings or the like.

Blizzard should be required to make a clear post/statement about this current functionality and if it is indeed an exploit, and which part of the function is the exploit.
-Is it solely the multiple Bonus Rolls similar to Heroic?
-Is it the ability to kill the boss multiple times?
-Is it both?

Has anyone been banned/suspended for doing this? Has Blizzard made a statement that I cannot find?

If it feels like a exploit you should stay far away. Like killing the same raid boss more then once a week and getting loot each time.

Even if you can do it does not mean you should. People have lost a counts from exploits.

Blizzard is not going to tell you if people have been actioned for any specific possible exploit.

If an announcement about an exploit were to be made, it would be in the General forums, not here in CS. It would also be made after the exploit was closed up.

Personally, I’d avoid any possible exploits with a 10 foot pole.

The way the lockout is functioning is like a Flex lockout (per boss basis) and not a Mythic lockout. In the flex lockout systems of LFR/Normal/Heroic you can use bonus rolls each time you kill the boss even if you are loot locked.

I personally wouldn’t go in a 2nd+ time to use my bonus rolls until this is clarified, but the nature with the bonus rolls this time around is that you’re always guaranteed loot and no duplicates so waiting a week (and assuming this is intended) won’t hurt your gearing as you can blow your rolls for the loot you need the week after.

it functions just like a Heroic lockout though is the issue. Which is NOT an exploit and a feature of the system.

If you think something is an exploit, report it and do not use it. In addition to putting your account at risk, items/rewards gained thru exploiting often will be removed.

thats the issue. We dont think its an exploit. so much so that we planned to do this without question until articles about people getting suspended/banned came out. Just want some clarity and validity to the claims

And you’re not going to get that here.

If you guys feel like taking a chance, it’s your call.

Blizzard also would not have told people who received an account action that it was specifically for this or any other possible exploit. So people are simply making assumptions until anything specific is posted by the Community Team.

If it is on flex and loot from bonus rolls you should be good. Now it it gives anything with out that and does not show you loot locked that would be a problem

Thanks for the discussion here! To help clear up some confusion, we don’t have plans to make any immediate changes to Sporefall’s loot lockout, and players are free to use multiple bonus rolls on repeat attempts for this encounter.

This is super based, All mythic bosses should work this way, If you want, you should be able to just attack the boss, while we’re at it, remove all heroic lockout systems whatsoever
