Repeated disconnections

Since this evening I’ve been getting disconnected a lot.
For example, about a couple hours ago I was disconnected about SIX TIMES in a 5 minute frame and all I was doing was to be in the Orgrimmar auction house.

I asked on twitter and the @blizzardCS rep told me that servers are fine, and linked me to a troubleshooting article. Did all steps and nothing, I keep getting dc’d.
Oddly enough, I haven’t lost connection at all with my guildies on Discord

You are not alone with this issue as I had the same experience. Something is going on I believe.

What’s odd is that my guildies aren’t experiencing that problem.
I’m hearing them talk about the RBG they’re doing and I’m unable to participate on fear of getting disconnected mid-game =(

Same here, I can’t even do a dungeon withoute being disconnected several times. So annoying.

same problem! It’s really annoying

Hmm, trying tracerts I noticed that I’m getting Time Outs with the US-Central server while US-West is working fine…

Tried many times and got that timeout every one.

If the timeout is in the middle and it reaches the server, you can ignore it. The Blizzard hops are designed to ignore some of the test packets to protect from DDoS attacks.

Tracert isn’t great for capturing disconnect issues, you’d want to use the WinMTR Blizzard recommends instead.

Huh. Ran WinMTR and even when I got disconnected the biggest packet loss was only 2% with US-West server.

With US-Central the situation is the same:

Funny enough, in both cases I got disconnected around the 425 secs of test. I hit Start almost at the same time as “Iniciar sesión” (Log in).
Since (besides that host that didn’t reply) I never got a packet loss higher than 2%, I can safely say that the problem is NOT on my end?

2% is enough packet loss to cause repeated disconnections.

It looks like the problem is between your ISP and the routing peer they use for directing your connection to Blizzard. Unfortunately, the ISP has to work things out with them on behalf of their customers.

The loss is happening on this node:
https://myip.ms/info/whois/206.41.108.97

Hmm, that’s indeed odd. That’s a US IP address and I certainly don’t live in the US.
I’ll tweet to my ISP to see what the hell is going on with it.

This does make sense, because you’re connecting to servers hosted in the US, so the ISP needs to utilize a peer that links them with the US server.

same here, constantly disconnecting

Im having the exact same issue since yesterday afternoon. Every 5/10 min i simply got disconnect, and even sometimes my bnet app disconnect too, while every app, twich or youtube keeps running. i dont know how to explain my isp what they have to do, can anyone has an answer?

same issue here. Since yesterday I am getting disconnected every 5 to 10 min (World of Warcraft or Warzone)

Same here. Since yesterday, I’m from Azralon.

Same for me here since yesterday every 2/10min nonstop disconnections, sometimes bnet deskp app also disconnect. From chile here

I suspect all ISPs from South America are connecting through those same nodes in Miami that I mentioned above. However, a WinMTR that captures a disconnect in action would be most helpful in truly determining this.

same problem here

That’s the weird issue. When I had the disconnect the winMTR tests didn’t throw anything.
What makes it more puzzling is that I was having the same latency as usual (150-155 ms)… only to suddenly get disconnected.

ALSO: it clearly isn’t happening with ALL the Latin American ISPs since, as mentioned, my guildies (that live in my same country, Chile) didn’t have any issues and were playing just fine

Hello, same here… since yesterday me and my brother both of us are being disconnected randomly.
Any fixes yet?
