I see about 2000 threads about RDF, have you just given up caring about your own policies, or are there just too many a day for you to keep up with?

Yeah and the repeated spam posts end up drowning out the other more unique ones. But for whatever reason I can scroll down and find an exessive amount of RDF posts with little to no interaction and they’re all the same, it’s like trying to pick out one of a hundred different no name brand cereals, when all you need is 1 or 2 solid brands.
Problem is everybody’s got to put in their own 2 cents, then imagine if they were to merge all those screaming voices into one spot? Chaos, and then they’d eventually close the thread because people start getting out of hand.
You want Blizzard to ban people because they are making threads about a topic? Go away please

To be fair, they’re far more likely to be noticed if people would actually report them
Report them for what? Posting about things the OP doesn’t want to read? Thats not a rule. lol

You do know about this thing right here, don’t you?

If you don’t like the thread, there is always that option to mute it!
Otherwise, if you report a thread, and the thread gets restored by a member of the moderation, it means you’re falsely flagging.

I mean…it is in their Forum Code of Conduct, so…
There is no rule about people being able to make posts about things. Stop talking nonsense
There is about people posting repeated threads

What’s an example of a unique thread? I looked through the front page and any Non-RDF thread are questions that have already been answered before or someone making the same old tired ban GDKP nonsense.
Yeah, and if you flag it, and a moderation restores it, and you flag it again, it means you’re breaking this rule
Spamming or Trolling
This category includes:

- Abusing the Reported Post feature by sending false alarms or nonsensical messages
- Numbering a thread, IBTL, TLDR, or any other fad statements

There was one here the other day about positivity and things that you’re looking forward to in the expansion. It was only a few posts in before the pro- and anti-RDF people turned it into another RDF thread…

Yeah, one of the things I am looking forward to is Blizzard seeing all the subs leaving a month after launch and caving and adding RDF and the salty rivers of tears from the anti-RDFers. They asked what I was looking forward to and I told them.
That’s certainly a fair point as well
For the record, I’m not here to complain about anything, I’m just pointing out that there are, in fact, rules on the matter
There is rules on a lot of things. But just remember, not every topic that maybe talking about the same thing, is discussed in the same way. I agree, people shouldn’t be spamming, but just because a thread may have something similar to another topic within the title, does not mean it is actually discuss the same as the other thread too.
Yeah but I wouldn’t call that particularly a unique thread, that thread getting brigaded gave it an extension to its life span otherwise it would get like 3 replies and get buried because of how shallow the subject matter is.
I get your point though, I would love to see more unique threads too but it’s hard spotting one worth keeping alive.
This literally might be the hardest rule to enforce if all rules on the forums.
Incase you’ve never seen GD you can create like 9 LGBT topics and still be posting in all of them the next day.
There’s a simple solution. Blizzard makes a statement on RDF, either way, then people either stop or leave.
I’ve been muting the RDF threads because I find them boring now. It’s 6 months of the exact same conversation with no variety at all and the conversation hasn’t evolved at all either. You could copy paste a thread from April and the arguments are the same. A lot of the time Blizzard will do something totally unrelated and people will take that as an opportunity to repeat themselves again. Some of these people never talk about anything else.
If it’s the same person making the same threads 3 times a day sometimes I report but now I just mute the threads I don’t care about (mostly RDF). I report bullying too though if I see it and that happens a lot when people get heated.
However the mass amount of repeat threads on whatever does cause peoples real questions to be ignored a lot so if I see threads that are getting ignored where people have simple questions I’ll help them. I’d much rather be helpful and useful than just complain and fight about developer decisions.
That is NOT what i said. That is BLIZZARDS policy, not mine. thank you for coming out to the party, but clearly you missed the mark. Also, regarding flagging posts that have been restored…We cant be blamed for that. Nothing anywhere any time says a duplicate topic has been flagged, removed, and restored. So we, as forum users, cannot be penalized for abuse if it is, infact, a duplicate topic.
