This is actually false. The law only applies if they willingly made the comment knowing it would return in the future. If you made the comment and at the time it was truthful, it was not false advertising.
For instance, if Taco Bell referred to their Nacho Fries as “Limited Time Only, Never Coming Back!” with the knowledge they planned to re-introduce them 6 months later.
The only reason they can’t bring back things like the Horde’s Motorcycle is because that was a televised competition. There are federal laws prohibiting it, as it was advertised as only available as a reward from the competition.
Things like Tyrael’s Charger are a grey area. They technically -could- bring it back, but they would risk a lawsuit, as real money was exchanged for it. I doubt the lawsuit would go anywhere, but it’d still be a cost I doubt Blizzard wants to risk. Mage Tower skins were simply a part of the game, no one paid for them.
I will sub for 1 month long enough to get the fel bear but that’s it. I would have bought more time if I could farm the original artifacts but thank you for a cool replacement. Please reconsider timed exclusives. They do not feel good for returning or new players to see just to find out they are impossible to obtain.
I agree. If the challenge is the same due to scaling down, why not bring them back? Oh but then the argument is ‘it was really easy at the end of them expac’ soooo do these people want others to have a hard challenge or an easy time? XD
The idea that the feelings of the 0.01% of the entire playerbase who ever played wow and remained active for the last 15 years is somehow more important than the playerbase who didn’t remain active this entire time is a terrible business decision.
It was a terrible idea back when it first started with T3 sets and Zul’Aman bear mounts, and its still a terrible idea now. Grandfathering items and collectibles removes reasons for players to come back and enjoy content that they missed in the past due to life’s circumstances.
You had a chance to incentivize old players to return and you threw it away to not hurt the feelings of (some of) the 0.01%. Players that not only are very little in number, that will also stop playing eventually no matter what you do. I do not know who is in charge of the FOMO game design choices but that person needs to be replaced. He or she does not know how to design an MMO centered around MAUs.
I actually was thinking the same thing when I was writing a response to you before, a variant on all 36 would probably you know, quell the rage! lol. And actually, could be easier in the long run because gauging by some of the responses, the same people that griped before are still not happy.
A recolour of all of them would put the whole thing to bed (mostly). But, for me, I’m pretty darn happy with what they’ve done
We just want to use all the looks of our artifacts that we deserve, as I’m going to be the guardian of G'Hanir without having the right to use all the appearances
So, why is feral not getting a new form along with guardian? Feels pretty trash that one spec is getting special treatment, but the other shapeshifting one isn’t…
Hearing you say that you’re recoloring ONE appearance and not the others is pretty disappointing, to be honest. The cries of unfairness aren’t going to stop now… To say the werebear is unique but not the flails is a little bit silly.
Again, just my opinion. This is a minor win for you all bringing it back, but to give one class a recolor just doesn’t seem right. Congrats to druids, I guess. New travel forms and new MT appearances. There are other classes in the game the could use some new customizations…
The new rewards are fine. Some of these babies need to stop trying to take rewards and achievements from people who were able to get the job done when it mattered. No you get some, not everything.
No one cares that you weren’t around or weren’t able to complete the in legion, that’s literally the point and how so many things worked. Let it go
Where did I say that bringing it back was a good idea? I was commenting on the fact that they stood their ground with the appearances staying locked to Legion. And that I liked the bear recolor. You can stop raging at me now. Thanks.
Oh, sorry. That part was covered right in the beginning:
