Rent to own a gaming PC on a monthly plan, would you do it?

Just discovered this

https://www.nocompromisegaming.com

I will tell you this now:

If you thought alienware was a rip off… Going with these guys you might as well burn your own money

When you first read them up they sound nice and amazing, renting gaming PCs sounds great right?

I thought it was too till they ask for your social security number and bank account info, before you get approved or purchase anything

I didn’t fill this out but from what I understand, when you submit the info you are then given a budget of what they think you can afford.

So lets look at the PCs though

Heres their suggestion of a WoW optimized build

$153 to play WoW a month, with reasonable specs, sounds great right?

Not really, you have to be locked to 18 months

So you be paying $2754 to finally keep the PC if you pay your monthly on time

Well look what you actually be paying based on what I think they use

Talk about a mark up

Im pretty sure my response on this is absolute no and people buying this I feel sorry because they are ripped off big time

What do you think? Im sure your opinion is the same as mine I hope

NZXT offers pay-monthly with BLD. And its a lot cheaper than that.

It’s the same as any “nearly no questions asked!” rent to own place, always super overpriced.

Go to rent-a-center, 5 bucks says your 600 dollar couch turns into a 1600 dollar couch.

Interesting, though they probably are stricter then these places.

Just buy a bunch of stuff on your amazon card with 12 month no interest, and you save $70 off your first purchase.

I did that for the $70 off then paid it all off immediately.

likely. havent looked into it

this scenario is a compelling argument for just paying for google stadia instead

lol i googled the company and found this gem thread

looks like kagthul already got this covered 3 years ago

But we can’t access to those threads anymore

but he didn’t cover what I said though just said to the OP no

oh i wasn’t complaining. I didn’t know about it.

Just giving a /bow to Kagthul for his diligence lol

also, look at this fake review youtube channel. no bad comments. only positive ones about getting completely screwed over with a smile.

this dude 110% works for them

Or a guy who doesn’t understand how bad he got ripped off

Dude doesn’t post enough vidoes to care about scrubbing the negative comments.

It HAS to be a fake.

$153 a month is WAY too much, it is a huge rip off, unless you are leasing to own or whatever.

You could build one yourself, over a couple months, for that.

You are “leasing to own” though, but it’s still a ripoff, 2754 for a 700 dollar computer.

This reminds me of this thread I saw the other day - Thinking of renting this computer

Good lord, except that one is even worse.
