Removing valor cap = burn out = people quitting

considering i havent gotten a single item upgrade in forever

thank god valor cap is removed

shouldnt ever exist in the first place

I will not do more or less m+ but now I will get valor for it. Big win.

I fixed that for you.

counterpoint: we’ll play alts

I disagree, it takes forever to upgrade all of your gear where currently stands. Then there’s alts. I won’t move into season two and we are at the halfway point of the season.

What is the fix? I don’t blame children for not having self-control, they’re still developing it. But adults should be able to control themselves. If the frequency or intensity of your gameplay is becoming detrimental to your health, you should be able to stop yourself.

But children don’t need weekly lockouts imposed by the game, they need parents who help them develop healthy behavior. If they play infrequently, they probably won’t notice the lockout anyway, so it doesn’t make sense to include them.

People don’t need to be logged in every day to keep their sub . That’s a false thinking that WoW is now going away from.

For example I have 6 month sub which renews automatically . I log in maybe 2-3 times a week , sometimes go weeks without logging in

Maybe because it was two years into Shadowlands at that point?

Inflate raid numbers? What does that even mean. Also it’s heroic, who cares?

Shadowlands Season 4 was a short and experimental season that had uncapped valor since the start.

This isn’t the first time valor is being uncapped mid-season, which I think is perfectly acceptable. I don’t agree with uncapped at the start, but this is fine.

When 1 weapon upgrade costs 1000 valor, and you only get 750 per week… something’s wrong there. Uncapping is def the way to go at this point (heck, i’d even say it’s late)

Solution: Don’t do that.

Valor cap is gone? Welp

TIME TO GET BUSY!

Your mythic+ rating should be your gear gating at this stage of the season.

Many of us gearing alts are running into low/mid key roadblocks where the there’s not enough skilled geared players in the pool. Now they have an excuse come down from the 20s.

Valor cap was way too low, and it’s also pretty late in the season for it to be uncapped.

Going to make the +15 and beyond scene much more active and consistent I think.

Nah people were still going hard on valor even into the last weeks of SL season 4. This post is nonsense.

I’m kinda neutral on the change, but it is funny in light of Sparks allegedly being farmable.

It’s more that the way the item levels are done between M+ and the Great Vault that devalue LFR/Normal/Heroic raiding a lot. Throw the Catalyst into the mix, and you have a good system for casuals and dungeon heroes; however, it puts Mythic raiding on a weird island, though, especially given some seriously BiS things drop from it, and if you’re unable to conduct it (and eventually complete it) you’ll never acquire a lot of important things.

The rare drops in particular are incredibly powerful, to the extent that guilds will farm out splits for Whispering Incarnate Icon, and try to obtain the bow or staff for their respective classes. I guess it’s good that the rare rings are at least on ‘mandatory’ bosses.

The valor never should have been capped to begin with.

That’s not how it works, no they won’t. You still can’t max out your gear in 2 weeks. I’m super excited for the drop so I can get some keys on my hunter finally. “+2 bonus valor +++++++++ Lets get this bread” Instant fill with as much mail as I can and hello gear funnel/valor. I can 100% tell you that dropping the valor cap a couple of months into the season is 100% the best way to keep engagement up.

That’s cause we were at the end of a very bad expansion. We got our KSM mount and bounced.

Just remember guys, WQs aren’t allowed to be daily because they don’t want players to feel “forced” to grind them.

Uncapped gear power is fine though.

How do you define late?

It will come out 2 months and 1 week after the raid release/season start.

How short/long do you think tiers/seasons are? 3 months?
