For the third time now people who want optional pets for MM have won. If blizzard tries it again we’ll win again. The WoW servers will close before we allow our pets to be taken away.
If only there was this much gusto for the water elemental.

The fact the post you responded too was in response to the person I responded too saying hunters have weak defensives isnt true and indeed is a fact that hunter currently has very strong defensives and thats not a debatable fact.
I have evidence that the person I told doesnt have a clue does in fact not have a clue. See above.

And my guess was copy/pasting bm’s “animal companion” talent to just replace the eagle with a stable pet.
Sometimes you have to take something away to improve it. The way they went about it was pretty bad though lol.
Unfortunately mm’s pet has pretty much lost all functionality outside utility. So hopefully since they decided to go this route, they’ll start making improvements to the actual pet going forward. Because I’d really love to see it become involved in part of the rotation (if they go with a pet type build)

well, the good news is blizzard caved so this entire argument is now irrelevant. Nothing is changing about marksman, except the addition of an eagle that apparently really isn’t going to do much of anything anyway, because everyone still gets to keep their pets that they are desperately clinging to. So I say we just find something new to talk about. Marksman goes back to being boring and there’s a new patch to enjoy.
in fairness, they made it mm petless by default (with the caveat of the eagle), and added pets as an optional talent that players can take as a suboptimal pick, which was honestly the better solution. How does this make MM boring when all it does is leave an optional talent for pet players, exactly? sounds like nothing else in the rework is changing. All the utility is still being baked into the MM Hunter and ya’ll get to keep using the (notapet) for your BL instead of having to summon the pet at all.

oh, the next big topic is the chronoboon changes in the classic forums, hahaha. You should check that mess out. Its a gold mine.
TLDR, players are mad that they abused an exploit and that exploit was abused to get the sellers a lot of gold. and the people bought it got busted out when blizz fixed the exploit.

I would call that. A bigger majority than the other two combined.
Why the hell were we arguing forever if you were okay with pets staying? 
I still think it’s silly to lose your pet at level 10 and then gett hem again at a higher level but with levelling so fast it ends up being a minor inconvenience.
Did you think the removal of pets as an option would make MM fun?
Cuz that’s the only change they planned on making. So if you liked the MM changed you should still like them. And if you don’t like the MM changes that’s irrelevent to pets.

Yeah but what if I want to have the fantasy of playing a hunter spec thats just a cool ranger without a pet following me around? Big reason I have never played much hunter is because lonewolf was always terrible and I wanted petless. There are two other pet specs so I dont see the issue. Why cant one single spec be played petless for those of us who want that playstyle instead of all 3 specs be with pets?
