I’ve been running 12s all weekend - and have never seen the abandonment that I have in this season. Sometimes people just leave because they get frustrated, sometimes it’s because of one bad wipe. I mean…
If there were something at the end of the dungeon to motivate people to run dungeons with some dedication, that would be a good first step to fixing what I am seeing right now.
If it can’t be Mythic loot maybe awesome mounts or something? Personally - I LOVE running M+ but this is craziness!!

Resilient keys was supposed to be the fix for this, and it helps set the ground level for your keys, but it did nothing to resolve the pugging issue. I can guarantee you cosmetic rewards are not going to be the solution either, as players doing keys above that 12 threshold are not driven by loot that doesn’t impact player power. You may see a miniscule drop in leaving, but not enough to quell the issue.
People do not want to waste their time doing something they do not believe is going to give them some marginal gain that they can measure. Rarely, I’ll see a group stick through a failed 12 as a homework key to learn the dungeon better, but PuGs are there assuming everyone is going to play at 100%. No one wants to waste their time doing homework when they can just go again with different people that might just clear it in time.
Really, the timer is the thing causing the issue. And I do not see Blizzard just dumping timers all together. But, really, the stupid Guile affix that chunks time off a key for a death just doesn’t feel great still, and may just need to be gone if we want to see people chill out. Previous seasons, people were willing to test the waters with timers as a few deaths were recoverable. Now, 2 or 3 deaths is a dead key because of the punishment. It’s not designed to be friendly to any mistakes, and expects an almost unreasonable amount of perfection at all times.

Pugs will be pugs.
There is no solution Blizzard can implement to stop random people from causing problems in group content.
The only work around is to play with people you know, so you don’t have to invite random people to your keys.

Yah I mean - I’ve been doing pug life for years… It’s never been like this - and it’s simply because there is no reward at the end of the dungeon. And you’re correct - maybe I do need a solid group!
In the past - I’ve had tons of excellent pug groups… Something is very off right now!!

They added a mount for I think 3k score/timing all 12’s (not sure if you need any 13’s).
End if the day if you only want loot, 10’s are good. Otherwise if a wipe happens and it wont times, 12’s are for score, so why would you finish?

M+ never actually dropped mythic level stuff - it was always from the vault.

Yeah what do you mean “removing”, OP? It never had it.

The OP is engaging in the high IQ strategy of trying to gaslight everyone into thinking M+ dropped Mythic loot so the devs make it drop Mythic loot. I mean it works with difficulty right? If blizz even makes m+ accidentally easier that is the new bar or the reee will be endless.

If people are running 12s strictly for score, the score is the reward at the end of the dungeon. Why remain in a dungeon that doesn’t offer reward?
Just GG and go again.

They removed the thing that made people finish content and run content, it was Titanforging.
As much as people dislike TF for whatever random reason (I never see people actually say why they didn’t like it), it kept people playing the game and it kept people of all skill levels playing together.
If you can get a TF trinket from Heroic raid, that means you are running Heroic raid until the expansion ends or have the option at least, it keeps the older content relevant, period.
The whole reason you even have a demand for Dinars now is because TF is gone. But it’s too late, it’s removed so they will never add it back because it makes them look bad.

Upteenth trinket drops that isn’t titanforged, “what an absolute garbage system.”
Get 2 titan forged drops in 3 days, “you are a generous god Blizzard, let me purchase a store mount as a sign of my gratitude.”
Honestly, after the .5 patches they should add titanforging back each tier.
That’s the thing about TF, it’s like a necessary evil, but it’s a double edged sword, if that makes sense.
The necessary evil part (for the players that only care about throughput upgrades) is that TF exists to get everyone to keep persisting in content, playing old content and finishing content, it’s not even about the reward, at least from an admin, game dev point of view, but obviously most players don’t think like that.
For people who care more about community and having content be relevant, then it’s not a necessary evil, it’s just straight up necessary.

Ok, but why is it bad to be able to be done with lower tiers of content?
And for that matter, why are we trying to make wow the only game that you can play? What’s wrong with letting people be done with their character for the week, and log off until next week?

Dear genie, for my first wish I would like to farm mythic gear with no lock out. Thanks
What do you mean removing mythic loot? I still get high level gear from it, but it often takes a while of farming.

I always wanted to see either 1k+ gold or materials for professions in above max gear level keys.
If I run my 14-15 and we’re not timing it closer to the end, at least I can get some decent gold for repairs and compensation for used pots.
Can we just work for tokens and buy things off venders once more. It’s so much more peaceful. Holes fill in nicely, no one is on edge ready to kill over a drop.
You have to understand that the people asking for titanforging to be brought back will be the first people in line to complain about the game not respecting their time when they haven’t seen a titanforged trinket drop in 70 runs
