Removing Mythic + and Returning to Heroics

Most people who do something year after year get better at it, yes.

People who have played WoW for 20 years and somehow haven’t gotten better at it… play classic.

I would think so.
10 is a decent bump but not the end of the world. And mythic track is once a week and at the mercy of RNG. And 12s are a considerable jump.

So the slow gain of mythic track to break 12s is a good pace.

Crests could have stayed at 9, and i was in full objection to the drop to 8.

That’s the trend for a lot of posts on GD. I disagree with you on most topics, but at least your position is coming from experience.

Just like I would never make a post about mythic raiding.

you 100% should. crafted gear is great. it has the benefit of not only being high ilvl but ideal stats.

With m+, you only get random chance at mythic track, as its vault oriented. 8s are a ton easier and you get high ilvl ideal stat gear. On top of that, the ability to trade up allows a person to do easier content and eventually get something.

I definitely dont peg 8 and 10 too high, especially when its not a rigid cut off.

We’ve got delves as well now.

Challenge modes back, give us delves +12 and higher for Mythic track, and heroic raids. But of course, make delves a bit more fun as well. I’m a little tired of caves. We could call them… Expeditions!

Nah, delves +12 wouldnt be nearly hard enough.

If I am not that great of a player, and I did a no death 11 at like 610ish?

I have not done them since pretty close to release, when we were undergeared. It felt pretty spikey then. Make it +15? Whatever the scaling would need to be. (lol this is sounding a whole like another game mode that we already have… Just add a timer and… Viola!)

Long story short, I’d love CMs back. Mage tower(s) were a really nice touch. Anything like that is always welcome in my book, pun intended.

funneling people into delves is not the solution.

I don’t do M+ myself, but remove it? Nah.

It has its own dedicated communites.

That’s like removing PvP because people don’t like it- doing that would also be removing the primary reason I play.

Not every content pillar needs to be liked by everyone.

Maybe the corners could be smoothed out for PuGs for M+, somehow, but you’re upsetting way too many folks by advocating for its removal.

Old-school Heroics as an endgame just aren’t coming back, M+ is an evolution of that.

No timer = scaling is worthless for a difficulty slider.

More health/damage out is not enough to make delve content difficult enough to warrant mythic raid gear.

people who play PVP in WOW are better off playing any Moba.

Plunderstorm is good though.

Nah, MoBAs don’t have 40v40 epic battlegrounds.

Nor are they 3rd-person- I hate isometric views.

I do play LoL on occasion, but never as much as WoW PvP.

Btw, I don’t really like arenas, I prefer the larger battlegrounds and epic battlegrounds.

Being a soldier of many, is something I enjoy that MoBAs can’t provide.

It’s niche, just like M+ is, and MoBAs are to some extent now.

AKA you just don’t want people to have the ability to solo?

Because as it stands, +10s are a joke after all the nerfs. Timer or no timer. Not to mention the recent poll considered removal of timer.

I’m a Diablo fanatic (woot new season in a few days) and our current version of M+ is the easy one, whereas the one without timer is much more challenging (death counter only).

Week 1 was wild, now you can walk in with a fresh toon and faceroll them.

Being soloable places limits on how hard things can be.

It’s stupid design. A death counter is no substitute for a timer. And things are hard in Diablo 4 because they outright kill you.

That’s why there’s a question mark. I was asking whether or not that was your quip, when you’re saying that higher damage output doesn’t make people deserving of mythic gear.

Mage tower was a good example of solo difficulty being absolutely possible.

Alrighty, Blizzard seems to think otherwise. Just throwing stuff out there.

I am saying that delves are not difficult enough to reward mythic track items.

They arent right now. And merely adding a 12th rank wont make it easier either.

Mobs having more health and mobs doing more damage is not enough.

The lack of timer means it will be easy to cheese any difficulty.

Its the closest they came. And it required what…5 different variations?

Are you saying that if there are 10 delves, they are going to have to make 50 different ones just for solo players?

You don’t need an actual timer… for a timer.

that is probably 1 of the biggest problems in this game

I should certainly hope they figure out a way to do it otherwise.

But hey, that’s for them to design, not me.

I wouldn’t mind at all seeing this type of hustle added to delves. But I’m sure many would hate it.
