Sure, don’t delete it, just completely redo it.
That’s the patch that killed the game for me.

I have no issue with not having LFD for Wrath dungeons until ICC-phase, and am pretty happy about that.
However, it really should be enabled for vanilla and BC dungeons imo. At the very least it would combat boosting (and gold buying to some extent), and would be tremendous for leveling alts.
Without LFD or RDF in wrath Blizz should just go ahead and remove Heirloom gear, cause there will be no point to leveling an Alt through 3 expansions.
Until they clarify, I have no reason to expect they’d give it at all unless backlash continues to grow, and they’ve proven unable to do calculated and/or targeted changes like have it work for non-Wrath dungeons only.
Ion’s comment is what needs better explanation. People don’t play Retail because its Retail or because they want to play Wrath as it was.
I do not understand the logic here. If they keep LFD then the ones who want to use it can use it. No one is forced to used LFD. If you believe that the only way to socialize in WOW is to create groups through the LFG chat channel then by all means do that. You don’t have to use LFD. It just makes it easier and more fun for the people who do prefer it for getting into dungeon groups. Can someone explain how taking it out benefits the game or the players at all? I have been looking forward to LFD since Classic came out because it was the most fun I’ve ever had in this game and it is where I learned how to tank. I actually might not play now. Very unfortunate decision.
STUPID STUPID decision based on time played metrics.
WHILE STILL SELLING BOOSTS.
LFD is actually in the game already, its called retail
agreed. removing LFD is only going to increase the boost meta. mega servers kill most of the community aspect anyways.
LFD was introduced in LK. Without it, it ISNT classic LK.
Op is correct esp in the fact leveling groups are non existent on alot of servers for dungeons. Since there is however non stop boost maybe Blizzard would rather you buy a boost from someone who sells gold for cash on the side or buy the boost off them instead since you know, that’s totally the “authentic experience” lol.
Bunch of clowns running the show at blizzard
I don’t think this could have been worded any better. As a healer, I hate questing. In retail wrath and so on, I always used LFD to level because it was practically an instant que, fun, and easy. It takes forever to find a group in trade and LFG chat. Due to my hectic work schedule, I don’t have time for it.
I’m really curious how they handle the rewards (or lack thereof) of the dungeon finder. Doing the daily heroic, the emblems, the gold. That stuff just won’t be in Wrath Classic?
100%. Great post. Removing LFD to cater to their small but vocal caveman player base is a huge mistake.
Or the ability to just grind as much as you want since LFD bypasses the once a day heroic restrictions…these clowns don’t think at all
Not having LFD is gonna suck in lower population servers… cant find healers or tanks. In the LFG chat on my server, after a while where no one can find a tank, they just give up and chat about things that have nothing to do with looking for groups. I hope Blizzard changes their mind about removing LFD… cause on low pop servers… it sucks…
Hi Ion.
I forgot about that bit. It was nice being able to try for a specific upgrade from a specific dungeon more than once a day on the days when I had plenty of free time instead of having to try to find a group willing to do Heroic Halls of Stone Every. Single. Day. Even though it wasn’t the daily heroic.
I was looking forward to Wrath Classic, now I probably won’t even play it. Sorry, but sometimes I want to log on and slam a quick dungeon or two, and no I don’t want to play retail. Retail content doesn’t interest me in the least. Assuming that people will play retail just for dungeon finder is as silly is asking “DoN’t U gUys HaVe PhOnEs??”
I’m as ‘purist’ as there is, but even I acknowledged Dungeon Finder was added in Wrath and would be in Wrath Classic. And yet Blizz puts in this 70 boost, which is far more damaging and wasn’t in the original Wrath. But of course they make a fortune from bots buying boosts, so it makes sense why they do this.
I’m just very curious about losing out on the dungeon finder’s rewards. That’s a lot of lost Emblems for casuals doing dungeons.
Well said. We either need connected realms or the dungeon finder. People fighting against dungeon finder never suggest a better solution (or ANY solution) for finding groups. Having to spam “LF TANK” on classic/crusade again was not something we wanted to return to. These older versions NEEDED connected realms or dungeon finder… and Blizzard left us to rot. Classic would not get connected until after they nuked it with crusade’s release, too little too late. Crusade will probably follow suit. Most of my realm just raid logs now because you can’t find groups so there’s not much to do.
