Removing bonus rolls is a good thing

You get to pick one piece of loot from the vault Once a week it less than now it will suck

Agreed. I never saw the point of them.

Because they were loot boxes weighted to waste resources. That is all. It was there to make you feel better due to the current loot system if you didnt get anything; but the percentage was heavily weighed against you.

Looks that way. Can I offer you some…

Yes, I “wasted” wq resources when I bonus rolled my BiS 485 weapon. Thank you for confirming you don’t actually play this game.

How many times have you rolled loot compared to currency/azerite?

The option for an additional loot ‘chance’.

Key word there, chance.

There was a good 70% chance that you didn’t get loot from a boss when you used a token in any of the past expansions where the token has been a thing. You had a higher chance of getting gold or some other useless resource. And since most bosses killed in raids offered multiple pieces of gear for your class, even if you got lucky and earned loot, there was a chance that it was the wrong piece of loot.

I will take a guaranteed item per week, with more choices to pick from as I clear more content over the bonus roll system, anytime.

Then you keep raiding.

I don’t enjoy raiding as much as I enjoy other content. Bonus rolls allowed me to feel the need to raid less.

Shadowlands is making me feel the need to raid more, which is making me want to play less.

This is a bad change.

Yes, this is how news works. People talk about recent topics which are important to them.

Doesn’t matter. My choice to farm resources for an additional chance at loot is better than just getting nothing.

??

If you don’t enjoy raiding, then don’t raid. The Great Vault also rewards you for Mythic+ and PvP.

If you only want to clear so many bosses per week, then you can do that. You’ll still get at least one guaranteed item, which is basically the equivalent of one of your two bonus tokens always giving you loot.

This is how you know you’ve lost the argument, btw.

You are getting a guaranteed piece of loot per week with Shadowlands. There was no guarantee in BFA, you could roll as much as you like and get vendor trash worth of currency.

I have my AOTC from the past two expansions. Thank you very much.

Imagine being a raider and defending loot box chance at loot. This might as well be a PSA for gambling addiction.

Improving the quality of the chest should have had nothing to do with nerfing M+ or removing bonus rolls. They could have just improved it.

But yay, let’s cheer the fact we took 1 step forward and ignore that we took 2 back.

Bonus rolls were fine for current content when all you had to do is use tokens to get them .

The issue I have is does it cover people that do stuff like lower then mythic +, lfr and random BGs ?

If it is only for higher end then that is pretty much breaking what they say about not wanting a meta .

We literally did not take two steps back though.

Why are you defending a system where you are effectively gambling with a high chance at getting nothing?

How would they improve upon it without either making it super easy to roll loot? Increasing currency rewards would cause Blizzard to rebalance currency gain in other areas (like they did in Legion).

Forumgoer has no idea what loot boxes actually are and accuses other people of defending the concept.

They aren’t moving away, they are removing them. Its literally just less loot weekly.
