I think Mario 64 was great. Same with Ocarina. I don’t want them to remake the same thing. I want improvements.

The content required to obtain a bonus roll token was always easy, thoughtless content that has nothing to do with the raiding or mythic+. And before long you had enough resources to make the cost completely irrelevant. Essentially, it’s just 2 free rolls every week, stacking to 5 if you don’t use them.
Regarding how this aligns the idea of rewarding effort … with bonus rolls being removed, with wf/tf gear going away, with legendaries being deterministic (as opposed to legion where they were RNG), combined with the Vault offering more choice to players that play more content … gearing is now more dependent on effort than in the past few expansions and that’s a good thing, at least IMO.
I don’t know, for me, it all just felt too mobile game-ish.
