Removing authenticator

Can it be done? I dont want the new app with authenticator at all.
Can I remove the need for authenticator from account?

I don’t recommend it, but yes, you can remove the authenticator altogether.

You should be able to remove the authenticator if your current one is still working.

You would still need one to access the core hound pet. You would also need SMS protect set up to access the extra storage space, and to add custom text to a premade group, if this is what you mean by removing the need.

No choice. I do not want the new app which is required.

Its a small price to pay to not be forced into getting Blizzards app.
The app says it shares information with 3rd parties. I do not
agree to that

I mean, that’s certainly your choice. I see no difference between the old app and the newer one other than, the newer one seems to work better.

I rarely had to use it ever. No one ever tried to log into my account in all the years I had it.
Just dont want the new one.

It’s not about the times someone didn’t try

But again, it’s absolutely your call. Personally, I put an authenticator on everything I possibly can. I still wish we could use third-party authenticators like Google’s, but I don’t want to even chance having my account accessed by a malicious party.

That’s just me though.

I hope you were able to get it removed easily.

As does Blizzard as a whole. You have the Battlenet desktop app. It’s no different. You may wish to read through this.
